Hoping again to find another wonderful dog through this forum. We found our Irish terrier here and hoping to be that lucky again.

We can offer a loving understanding home to a small/medium older dog (around 8 years) pref female.

We would like a dog that can be left for a few hours, house trained and travels without problems (we have a camper van). We are looking for a dog that likes cuddles and fuss. We have doggie neighbours so not very barky would be good too.

If you can help then please get in touch.

Thanks for the replies. I think many tears like to home with another dog to help them get used to being a family dog rather than for breeding.

I keep looking at oldies but there hasn't been a dog suitable that is close enough to visit.

Please still keep us in mind!

Charlie is a 7 plus year old Staffie and is currently on foster in Port Talbot.

The Charlie Fact File

Dog status: Very good.
Cat status: Unknown
Child status: Very good
House training: Excellent
Home alone: Could be rehomed to a full time worker.
Basic training: Very good but will pull on the lead.

Charlie came into our care when her elderly owner went into hospital and later passed away. Charlie has obviously been loved in the past and has had good basic training before coming into Hopeís care. She settled quickly and easily into foster but is now in need of a permanent home.

Charlie is in foster with other dogs and has met dogs when out and about and has been great with all. She could be rehomed with or without canine company. Unfortunately we donít know how she is with cats.

Charlie has been great with the adults and children and loves his cuddles and sharing a sofa with her humans. She is in foster with children and could be rehomed with children 5 and above.

Charlie is house trained, travels well in the car and none destructive (well except for cuddly toys but itís in the roolz that their eyes need removing!). She is fine being left and would be suitable for full time workers as long as she got a break during the day and attention outside those hours. It should be noted though that at present she is in foster with other dogs.

In summary Charlie is a fabulous dog who would suit a range of homes from someone retired to a full time worker. She could make a lovely family dog if the children are old enough to be sensible. She could live with another dog(s) and would equally be ok as an only dog.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. We have a suggested minimum donation of £160. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded HERE and should be returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk
