Hi, we are looking for a small dog to join our little family. Myself and my husband have 2 children, 1 who is 12 and one who is 5. The children have been brought up with dogs until sadly our beautiful GSD Poppy was PTS in October. I have MS so we have decided it would be wise to look for a smaller breed of dog, ideally Shih Tzu type or size. We have 1 cat who loves dogs. Due to my illness I am at home pretty much all the time and would love a companion to keep me company.
We live in a lovely village just outside Sudbury Suffolk, have a good sized garden, close by country park and lots of lovely walks.

Would you take any age of dog? How far are you willing to travel

Would you consider an older dog? Travis urgently needs a home, he's a real cuddle monster, thought to be OK with cats and excellent with children:

ideally we would like to rescue a dog of between 1 year and 4 years so it could grow up our son. Distance is not really a factor and we would happily travel if needed for the perfect dog smile.gif

err.gif and smile.gif (for Buddy.) Did you ask for second reserve?..............Sometimes adoptions don't go through.

How do you feel about short haired dogs or do you want a fluff monster?
Libby19
the right dog will be the right dog regardless of hair or breed, I sort of have a rough idea in my mind that I would like something along the lines of a shih tzu mainly because of the size and I am not overly keen on JRT. I have asked for second reserve but we will see, he does not think second reserve will be needed

You will definitely find the right dog - whether it be Buddy or not - it'll happen. smile.gif

This is why I asked the question...............

She looks and sounds a real sweetie - would need cat testing though.
