Little Kya came into our care after she had served her 7 days in the stray pound and was due to be put to sleep.
Some kind people had informed us of her situation and we offered her a rescue space...her only lifeline, and boy are we glad we did!
Well where can we start with Kya. The first thing that springs to mind is that she is sweeter than sugar!
Kya is a tiny little girl, in fact she is the smallest Staffy we have ever met! More like the size of a very sturdy and perhaps overweight Jack Russell Terrier.
What we are trying to say is that she is a traditional Staffy, one we don't see often these days.

You can't help but fall in love with Kya, she just screams excitement and fun, yet she is also extremely loving and needy. Her eyes are always pleading out for attention and acceptance. Her favourite thing ever is to roll onto her back for tummy tickles!

We do not know what sort of life Kya lived before coming into our care but we know that she would of been truly devoted to who ever it was who let her go.
But Kya has not let this affect her, she is such a happy girl who is always flashing her beautiful Staffy smile.

Anyone and everyone is a friend of Kya's, she will be sure to greet you with showers of kisses.
At the moment Kya does not seem to like other dogs, maybe she finds them threatening when they all bark at her through their kennels. However she has been exercised next to another older calmer dog and did not seem to mind him much at all. We are hoping to start getting Kya out sharing walks with other dogs and see where we go from there.
Kya has been microchipped and vaccinated but is currently in season and MUST be spayed once the time in right.
