Please add your location and whether you can travel to meet your new dog - this helps rescues a lot.

If you can include as much information as possible too such as any children in the household (and ages), other pets, experience with dogs, allergies to certain types etc etc this will all come in handy. The more information you give (within reason of course!) the easier it may be for a rescue to get a good idea of which dog(s) may be most suitable for you.

Please keep ONE topic active, rather than creating various new ones, especially if there have been no changes in your requirements. This helps us to keep track and prevent confusion!

If you are looking for a particular breed you may find it helpful to locate the Breed Rescues for details. If there is no breed rescue nearby to you, don't worry: get in touch anyway as many have co-ordinators around different parts of the country.

When You Have Found A Dog Or Are No Longer Looking

If you post a thread in this forum offering a home please notify one of the mods for this forum by PM asking for the thread to be closed when you have found a dog or are no longer looking. The mods can be found under the forum titles in the main forum list. (Click on a name and then click on Send a PM). Please include a link to your thread. To find the link, open your thread then copy the information in the address bar at the top of your screen. smile.gif

Or just click a Report button in your thread Image which will send your message to a moderator and will automatically include a link to the thread.

Adding links to rescues

We like to encourage everyone to consider a rescue dog and welcome members suggesting suitable dogs in Homes Offered topics.

It is very important that rescues recommended in posts should be reputable and operate to a high standard. Please help us by ensuring that any suggestions or links are always for dogs with rescues that are fully known to Dogpages and listed with us. Other posts or links, especially those to sites where dogs are traded and sold, or forums, may be removed without notification. If you are recommending a possible suitable dog, please post details on the topic. Links to 'general lists' will also be removed, as we have no control over rescues that post there, and we have found many of the details out of date smile.gif

Thank you.
