 POUND PUPPY RESCUEWhen Jayne discovered that puppies born in council pounds were being killed because they could not find homes for them she setup Pound Puppy Rescue. Having rescued the puppies she could not leave the hundreds of adult/ancient dogs and cats, and the kittens at the pounds to die just because they did not have a home to go to. Then she found that breeders would kill their rejects so she took those in too. AND then there are the other animals! These pets stay in foster homes looked after by our volunteers in the area around Poole, Bournemouth and Weymouth, Dorset, Andover and Basingstoke, Hants until they find a suitable home. Hundreds of healthy dogs are being killed in the UK every week for want of a home. ELLIE - Staffie, female, 11 years approx, medium size.
  Ellie is a older lady who we like to call Miss Piggy. She is amazing with children, and dogs when out. She would like to be the only dog in house. Ellie is a 11 year old female Staffy handed in due to her owner moving away. She is a quiet girl who is very well behaved. She is fantastic when left and very good on the lead. SHELDON - Greyhound, male, 3½ years approx, large size.
  Sheldon is a retired racer. He is a big boy. He is very good-natured, loves playing with toys and chasing around the garden with our other dogs. He would be best homed where someone is around most of the time as he can be destructive if left alone too long. He is crate trained and has been left in his crate up to 4 hours whilst we are out, and he sleeps in his crate overnight without problems. Sheldon would be very happy as a second dog in a family household, he shows no aggression with other dogs or children but is not suitable to be around cats. He is microchipped. RUSTY - Spitz cross?, male, 3 years approx, medium size.
 Rusty was rescued after being placed in the pound. He is a happy boy who likes to talk a lot! He is looking for a home with understanding people who are willing to give him time to settle. He has pins in his back legs after a road traffic accident but don't let that put you off - he is still a very active and loves to play and be out and about. This dog is in a foster home in Dorset.
