Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue
We are a small independent organisation dedicated to the re-homing of stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs. We work closely with the local council dog pound, finding new homes for stray dogs in the Herefordshire area, and across the UK. Whenever possible these dogs are placed into foster homes prior to re-homing so we can find out how they react in a home environment.

www.hwanimalrescue.org

We rehome throughout the UK, subject to a homecheck. We ask for a minimum donation, and an adoption agreement must signed. If a dog is not already spayed/neutered, we issue a voucher to help with the cost of this at the appropriate time. smile.gif

We do not rehome young dogs/pups with people that work full time, or are away from home for long periods.

Dogs are coming into our care daily, so always contact the rescue if you are looking to adopt, as we may have one suitable smile.gif

We ask that you come and meet the dog, bringing family and other dogs in the home to meet them. smile.gif

Henry is a cute little JRT x approximately 12 months old. He was found as a stray in Herefordshire, but oddly was wearing a new collar lead and harness. Despite our best endeavours we have been unable to trace his owners, so he is now looking for a new home. He is good with other dogs, not tested with cats. As we have no history we would not be able to consider a family with young children.
If you would like to meet Henry please message us or phone the kennels on 0568 760033

Sid is a 4yr old GSD x Lurcher, one of the best dogs you will ever meet. Sid was a latch key dog, well known in the area, he was always out and about around town. He was eventually picked up by the dog warden and it was clear his owner was in no position to take care of him so Sid came to stay with us. What an absolute diamond, he befriends all the dogs that come into our care, big and small. He is wonderful with people, he just has a fantastic temperament.
He so deserves a loving secure home, if you are looking to add to your family, please consider Sid.

Fabian has been with us for over a year. His family split up and he lived through a very traumatic few months before he came to us. Fabian is wary of strangers and is of the mindset that attack is the best form of defence, not unusual in small terriers. Having said that, once he learns to trust and love you he is your friend for life. The staff and volunteers at the kennels all adore Fabian, he is such a little character and great fun to be around.
Fabian needs a terrier experienced home, he will also need people who are prepared to visit him at the kennels a few times to gain his trust - is he worth it absolutely.
Given the chance Fabian will make a great little companion.

Whisky is an 11mth old Cairn x, whose owner didnt have time to take care of him. Whisky had not been socialised and had never had the joy of playing with other dogs. Within hours of joining his foster family Whisky was having the time of his life playing with his new found canine companion.
A super little dog who is used to children he will make a great family pet.

Sam with the comedy ears!!!. Meet our Sam, 2yr old lurcher, another stray, the owner 'let him go'.
Another character who is great with other dogs, has lived with children. Sam was used as a working dog so not suitable for a family with cats or other small furries unless they are very experienced hound owners.

Sam hasn't had much in the way of a home life and would like the chance to prove what a wonderful pet a lurcher can make.
