12-02-2017 Timmy is an 8 week old male cockapoo puppy who has come to us from a breeder. He is a very sweet boy who loves a fuss but sadly Timmy has visual impairment the extent of which is unknown but this is not complete blindness. This does not seem to bother him in the slightest. However, this will mean that Timmy will need a special home where he gets the attention he requires to ensure he remains safe and develops. So we are looking for an understanding family that realises that Timmy will learn about life slightly differently than a dog with full vision. Some key requirements will be:

A secure and safe flat garden with no dangerous obstacles e.g. unsecure ponds;
A tolerant resident dog/s that will help Timmy – feeding, navigating, playing etc.;
Timmy needs consistency and hence will require a home where there are few changes to his daily routine;
Patient and tolerant owners that will understand his disability and appreciate Timmy for who he is ….. and he is absolutely adorable;
If the potential adopter has children it will be better for Timmy if they are older and understand his needs.

Timmy has gone to a foster home where he has slotted in well to home life and the pattern of bedtime and morning. He loves the other dogs and enjoys playing with them. He is very tactile and enjoys nothing more than some 1:1 cuddles and play. His favourite toys are crunchy sounding toys and his large tennis ball. He has gained massively in confidence and it’s a joy to see him bound through the house with his tail wagging. He is an absolute “trooper” and in just a few days he has found his way around – navigating outside and inside the house. The steps that challenged him on Day 1 are now no issue – he leaps them with such confidence. He understands that he needs to go outside to toilet and he is trying so much to get out in time…. sometimes he’s too late but that’s understandable. His fosterer says this little boy is fantastic – he’s everything a puppy should be – fun, playful, loving.

12-02-2017 Shindig is an 8 month old male Lhasa Apso who has been given to us by his breeder to find a forever home. He is very nervous and shutdown at the moment and will need alot of tlc and patience to help him to be a happy boy. He is good with all the other dogs he has met here and has always lived with other dogs so needs a kind resident dog in his new home to help him get used to the sights and sounds of everyday life and give him some much needed confidence. He will have never lived in a home before and will need help with housetraining and this will be easier if he can follow the example of a resident dog. He doesn't know how to walk on the lead yet but once he has settled we will begin practicing with him. He is going to need a calm, quiet home with a loving owner who is prepared to invest time, love and patience to help him become a happy family pet. If you can offer Shindig the home that he really deserves then please apply as soon as possible, you will not be disappointed with this darling boy.

12-02-2017 Joan is a 8 week old female Maltese cross puppy who has come to us from a breeder. She loves a cuddle and at the moment she is very calm, quiet and not busy, but once she settles she will become a normal cheeky puppy. Her front right leg is shorter than her others but this does not hinder her at all. She would love company of other dogs in her new home. She will need to be spayed at 6 months and will need to attend training classes.

12-02-2017 Carly is a 10 week old female Cocker Spaniel puppy. She is a gentle puppy who is very lovable and always happy and waggy tailed. She appears to have microptholmia in her left eye which she would have been born with. It means that her left eye is small and does not function, her third eyelid seems to stay closed. We think that the vision in her right eye is ok but this will need to be monitored. Carly will need at least one other dog in her new home and must attend puppy training classes and be spayed at 6 months.

12-02-2017 Yuppy is a 1 year old female Terrier cross. Her owners circumstances changed and they were no longer able to care for her. She is slightly nervous but loves other dogs and would really benefit from a home with another dog. She will play with your hands but still very unsure but she has been through a lot of upheaval so it's understandable she is worried. Yuppy walks on a lead but we don't know if she is house trained but she will soon pick this up if not. Yuppy has her own passport and now all she needs is a forever home.

12-02-2017 J-lo is a 3 year old female Labrador cross, she has been given into us as her owners home circumstances changed and they were no longer able to care for her. She is a confident girl who is very loving. She was finding it stressful being in a new environment at kennels so she has gone to a foster home so she can get used to all the changes she has had to go through. She is said to be good with children and other dogs. She can walk on the lead and would love to go to a home where she will get lovely long walks followed by a snooze in front of the fire. She may need reminding of her house training in a new home. She can be an only dog or live with others.
