07-04-14 Benny is a stunning 1 year old pointer. He sadly lacks confidence but is interested in learning about new things and with a little encouragement we think he will soon be a little braver. He walks really well on the lead and he is a real gentleman. He is a little noise sensitive so we are looking for a quiet and peaceful home without very young childrent. Benny was adopted from a pound but then found their landlord would not allow them to a have a dog. They have waited for us to have space to take him in and so now he is here looking for his forever home.

07-04-14 Chappy is a 10 month old cav cross - but we don't know what the cross is so you can use your imagination! He had good owners who took him to the vets and made sure he was neutered etc but but did not give him time to be fussed, cuddled, walked and trained so he is now here looking for a home that can give him all these things. Cappy is a happy friendly boy who just LOVES walks. He is smaller than a lot of cavs and very inquisitive with great looks. He is good with other dogs but could easily be an only dog too.

07-04-14 Mac is a darling 12 week old boxer collie cross pup who was picked up from a farm with his siblings. The farm collie had got free with both a lab and a boxer - resulting in 2 unwanted litters. We did offer to neuter the parents but were turned down. They only wanted to get rid of the pups. Mac is a lovely pup with a beautiful, gentle soft temperament. He is looking for a home where he will get the exercise he needs as he grows and will need to attend training classes. Like all our pups he will need to be neutered at 6 months old to prevent nature repeating itself.

07-04-14 Mini is a lovely 2 year old colie cross. She was found up on a flyover on a busy road and taken to a pound. When unclaimed the finder bought her out and asked us to take her. Not suprisingly she seems very sad and worried. She walks well on a lead and lOVES cuddles and I think reallly needs them right now to help her forget her nightmares. Mini needs a special someone to love her and in the right circumstances we would consider homing her as an only dog.

08-04-14 Bowie is a 2 year old collie cross (unsure with what) she is the right length for a collie but half the height. Bowie is being returned after nearly 3 months and the write up below is from her adopter who will be fostering Bowie until a new home is found.

Bowie is a medium energy/agility girl. She was originally found sleeping on the doorstep of a council house where the tenants had been evicted and left her behind. Bowie has a spectrum of needs she requires a special type of home and management.
She is highly intelligent and in three months she is house, crate and clicker trained. Follows around 10 trying commands and some impulse commands. (Sit, Stay, Wait, Paw, lay down, up, off, on the mat, in the crate, touch, speak, quiet, watch, fetch, drop, leave). We're still working on her recall. She has learnt to ring a wind chime to go out and show herself at the window to come in to save barking. You can leave her for periods of time during the day and she has not a destructive bone in her body. She'll just chill or play with her toys.
She plays games and loves the tornado, fetch and hide and seek. She is loving and loyal and very playful. She will also come with her toys. If supervised can play and be around children 11+ as long as they understand her triggers and her signs showing worry.
Walks well on a harness she is currently learning to walk with a muzzle as she has difficulty with skateboarders and children on scooters. She is distracted easily with squirrels, cats and pigeons/sea gulls (not small wild birds). She will patiently let you put her harness/lead on and she will let you wipe her paws if its been raining.
She is microchipped, had her vaccinations, spayed, flead and wormed regularly. She is happy to be washed, groomed and loves a towel dry. She could be suited to agility or fly ball (loves a tennis ball). Bowie travels well in a car and has been out to a number of places in the front of my partners van (loves the view).
Unfortunately she has some challenges which can be managed if given the right environment with an experienced dog carer who can be firm but trustworthy. A behavourist gave me some advice and this is working well with what I can offer but she does need more rural environment she can hopefully progress further.
Bowie would benefit from being in an adult only home. With no cats and other dogs. She is sociable when she is out with dogs except smaller varieties she's fine with medium/big dogs. She creates strong bonds with carers but visitors need to earn her trust. She is nervous of men but has now built up a good relationship with my partner and visitors (after careful introduction).
She needs to live in the countryside and have plenty of space and with someone who she can make a strong bond. She will excitedly greet you in the morning from her crate and when you return home. These opportunities are when you can make a real fuss of her. She will even bring you her favourite toy to play with when she trusts you; as soon as you're through the door. She is not a lap dog (although mini break through she has tried to get on my lap twice! Both for short periods but was very sweet). She does not like masses of cuddles and strokes so when she does allow them it is all the more special.
Bowie enjoys being worked and she needs to come to you for interaction whether its play or a bit of a fuss (this is daily). She needs a certain routine to go to bed around 9pm as when she is tired her lesser wanted traits appear. She will make someone a very proud owner she really worth the slightly extra work involved. She's looking to be someone's shadow to stand by their side.

08-04-14 Halona (which means lucky in Native American) is a lovely very small yorkie who has come to us from a breeder. She is 3 years old and does not know how to walk on the lead and is a little unsure of the life we are offering at the moment. She likes the company of other dogs and would learn much faster about living in a home with another to copy. She is looking for owners with the time and patience to help her learn about lead walking and house training etc and who will gradually introduce her to new things that she has never experienced in her life before. Halona has been to the vet today who noted a scar on her abdomen and could not find her cervix so we believe she is already spayed. If in the unlikely event that she came into season we would ask that her owners would get her spayed which we will do here at Many Tears at no cost to the adopters.

08-04-14 Nellie is a one year old is a truly lovely and happy girl. There could be a touch of collie and a whole load of other things in her make up but whatever it is she is just a wonderful girl. She loves other dogs and just does not stop wagging. She was rescued from the pound with her son Nacho. She is a real joy to be around and could we think be an only dog or very happilly homed with others.

08-04-14 Nacho is just 15 weeks old old and was left in a pound with his mum Nelly (who is wonderful). He clearly has collie in him and a sweet handsome chap who is very worried about life at the moment. He is a beginner on the lead but In the right hands will blossom. He clearly he has not had a good start in life so needs compassionate and loving people who will have time, patience and a whole lot of love which has been missing in his very young life. Nacho will need to attend puppy training classes and be neutered at 6 months old.

08-04-14 Sal is a beautiful 1 year old collie. She rally likes people and asks for reassurance when hearing a loud noise or feeling out of her depth which she does a lot of the time. She walks well on a lead, but did not make a sheepdog so was given to a young girl, who after a month decided to move in with her boyfriend and did not want to take her. She could be an only dog but only in the right circumstances. She is good with other dogs and would prepbably settle much better with in a home with another dof to help build her confidence.

08-04-14 Sophie is a 2 year old collie cross. She is a sweet girl who is a little hand shy when you put her on the lead. She loves the company of other dogs and would love a home with a canine friend. Once confident could make a medium agility dog or a fly ball dog. She was found at a road junction miles from anywhere. The finders took her to a pound but no one wanted or claimed her. She was rescued on her last day and is now here waiting for her forever home.

10-04-14 Fifi is a 6 year old ex-breeding Beagle. She is an inquisitive girl who can be nervous initially but once she gets to know you she settles and will come to say hello. She is happiest in the company of other dogs and will need a kind dog in her new home to show her the way. She can already walk on a lead and will enjoy going for walks with her new family although will need further training before she is allowed off lead. She may never have been in a home before so she will need time and patience to learn new skills such as house training and getting used to normal home sounds. In time Fifi will blossom and she will make a loving companion.
