12-04-2016 Milly is a gorgeous little 3 year old ex-breeding chihuahua. She doesn't walk on a lead and has never lived in a home but absolutely loves to be handled and is a really gentle little girl. She is good with other dogs and will need a home with at least one other to help her learn about house training and the joys of living in a home. We don't think it will take Milly long to learn to love life as a pet so if you have the time and patience she will soon flourish.

15-04-16 Fidel is an ex stud Bichon Frise who is around 2 years old. He is a nervous little boy, we are unsure if he can see so will need further assessing by our vets. Fidel is good with other dogs but he will need an experienced and relaxed household where there is another dog already to guide him, be his buddy and allow him to copy new skills like house training. Fidel is a beautiful boy in desperate need of some tender loving care and deserves to be loved.

14-04-2016 Fiona is a 3 year old ex breeding Poodle. She is a gorgeous little girl, she has an eye issue which will be taken a look at by our vet and we will update you when we know more. Fiona will need a quiet home with experienced owners who have calm relaxed dogs who can show Fiona there is nothing to be afraid of and show her new skills such as house training. In time this delicate flower will bloom and be the most wonderful little companion

19-04-16 Poppy is a stunning 3 year old ex-breeding Cocker Spaniel who has very sadly been returned through no fault of her own and has been in foster with me for 3 days. It’s very hard to put into a few words just how gorgeous this girl is!
Poppy is totally house trained with not a single accident. She shares my home with 3 small female dogs and has really latched onto my Bichon who is a gentle, kind dog and loves to cuddle up with her, therefore a similar dog or even dogs in her new home is a must.
Poppy eats well, sleeps curled up next to me at night but when I wake in the morning, has settled down on a dog bed in my room. She won’t take treats from my hand, but if I place a treat in front of her she will gently take it. Poppy has a Grade 2 heart murmur but this does not affect her in any way and she is on no medication for it at present.
Although Poppy has been in a home for 12 months, she is still a nervous girl which becomes more apparent when you take her out. I have taken her with my dogs for short walks – she walks really well on a harness and lead but you can see the world is still a scary place for Poppy. I took her along a tree lined walk today used by other dog walkers and she was visibly more relaxed, sniffing, little nose to the ground and doing what Cocker’s enjoy doing! She looks to me for reassurance whilst out walking and with gentle encouragement, did really well today.
Even though Poppy is still nervous, she craves human company – she lies on my spare bed while I’m on the computer and as I talk to her, her tail will wag nineteen to the dozen. She will come and sit by me on the settee and loves to be stroked and have her chin tickled. My Mum came to visit today and she jumped up on the settee with my dogs for a fuss!
I have so much admiration for the way Poppy has adapted to what has been a really big upheaval for her. Poppy’s next home HAS to be perfect and her forever home as she has had too much change in her young life. The perfect home for Poppy would be: -

A quiet, relaxed home with owners who are experienced with nervous and/or ex breeding dogs.
Her people would need to be at home most of the time – someone who works from home perhaps or an active retired household
I feel a home with children would be too “busy” for Poppy but visiting, dog savvy grandchildren would be fine
A home where there is one or more kind, loving dogs who will welcome her and help her gain in confidence
A very secure garden – Poppy’s previous family informed me she can leap if startled/frightened

Above all, Poppy needs a home where her owners have infinite patience and kindness, who will let her take things at her own pace, who will realise that Poppy may take time to be completely comfortable and happy in her new home and will love and cherish this beautiful girl the way she deserves to be.

23-04-2016 Leanne is a 4 year old labrador. She is a typical ex breeder who does not walk on the lead will drop to the floor. We are told she is better with male dogs than female and so we are looking for a home with a similar sized male at the moment although we will try to test her with females as she begins to settle down with us. Leanne needs a relaxed environment where she will blossom. She will need to learn all about house training and get used to things like the TV and washing machine but if you have the time and patience to guide her she will make a lovely addition to a home.

17-04-2016 Mork has come to us from a breeder and went straight to a foster home. He is just a gorgeous fluffy bundle of mischief. He was not sold by his breeder as he doesn't walk very well and seems to have a weakness in his back legs but that doesn't stop him racing everywhere at full speed although he does stumble a lot and finds it difficult to walk on slippery surfaces. Toilet training isn't going well as he also seems to be incontinent at the moment and has accidents around the house and in his bed. He is going to see the vet this week and we will update again once this has happened. Until we know more Mork will not be available for adoption. Apart from this his fosterer reports he is very bright in other ways. Mork loves his food and once he is full up and has had a run around he just wants to cuddle on your lap and sleep. Mork will need to attend puppy training classes and be neutered at 6 months old.

27-04-16 UPDATE
Mork saw the Vet last week and he confirmed he has neurological and some spinal damage and this will need further investigation as he gets older with the possibility of surgery at some stage. At the moment Mork doesn't appear to be in any pain and he is able to run around with the other dogs although it is clear he has weakness in his back legs which causes him to stumble quite often. He also has a problem with incontinence and doesn't appear to have any idea when he needs to go, he will toilet in the garden throughout the day if he is taken out regularly but at night he will lie in dirty bedding which means he has to be washed frequently as his fur gets very messy.
The lovely thing about Mork is he is completely unaware of his medical issues and he is a really happy puppy who loves to play with the other dogs, he loves his food and gives the best kisses and cuddles and is everyone's friend. He is a cheeky chappy who likes his own way and is always first in line for treats. He sleeps all night in his crate in the bedroom and when he wakes up he will greet you with a very waggy tail and wet kisses. He is learning to sit when asked and is picking up a few other commands like stay and come. He is very bright and alert and likes to think he is the Boss, he really is a small dog with a huge personality. The attached photographs show him sitting with the other dogs waiting for his treat and having cuddles.
Would your family be able to cater for the additional needs Mork has? If so please put in an application for this little man and come and meet him and you won't be disappointed.

03052016 Beau is very pretty 6 year old Jack Russell who is looking for a new home through no fault of her own. She would prefer a home where someone is around most of the time as she loves to be with people. She is a great house dog, house trained, walks well on a lead, travels very well in a car or van, loves her toys, loves to play ball and will retrieve and drop it, ready for the next game. She sits for treats and at meal times and likes nothing better than cuddling up on the settee. Beau is just lovely and just adores a fuss - she will roll over for a belly rub.
Beau can be very nervous of other dogs and has a scar on her right cheek which could be from a dog bite which would explain her fear. She would be much happier as the only dog in her new home. She needs a forever home, with someone patient who will work with her to improve her fear around other dogs. She will make a very loyal happy companion.

03-05-2016 Oatmeal is a male Wheaten Terrier. He is in need of a bath and groom but he is very nervous of humans and shut down so we are letting him settle a while before we book him in properly and will then also estimate his age. He is much happier with the company of his kennel mates so will need a home with at least one other dog who is kind and confident. Oatmeal doesn't walk on a lead and will need a calm and patient household to help him blossom. We would not home him with young children who would simply frighten him at the moment and are looking for people who are experienced with frightened dogs.

03-05-2016 Raccoon is a 14 week old male Cockerpoo puppy who has come to us to find his forever home because he could have an issue with his back legs but he manages well and we will monitor this. He is very timid with us but much happier when with his kennel mates. Time, love and patience will be needed to help Raccoon become accustomed to living in a home. We would prefer a home without young children as they would be too frightening for this little boy. Raccoon will need to be castrated at six months and will also need to attend training classes to ensure he becomes a happy well adjusted dog.

05-05-16 Dusty is a six year old ex breeding Shih Tzu who is looking for her forever home. Dusty is a placid dog who is happy to be handled and is not as scared of humans as some of the dogs we have. She is still a learner on the lead and will need help to become accustomed to this. As Dusty has probably never been in a home before another friendly dog in the home will help her to learn about all the things she has never encountered before. Another dog around her will also help with house training. Dusty is a precious girl who deserves to find a loving home

03-05-2016 Nacho is a four year old ex stud Bichon who is now looking for his forever home. Nacho is not as scared as some of the dogs we have and does not mind being picked up and handled. As yet Nacho does not walk on a lead but we will be working on that whilst he is here. He will not have been in a house before and the everyday sounds of appliances will be new to him therefore he will need a resident dog to show him the ropes. House training will also be much easier with a resident dog. Nacho is ready for a new life in a loving home with at least one kind, friendly dog.

03-05-2016 Navy is a five year old ex stud Bichon who has come to us to find a forever home. Navy is a calm little boy who enjoys a cuddle. He is a learner on the lead and will need further help to become more confident. The vet checked Navy's teeth and sadly all of his remaining teeth had to be removed but he is coping well. Navy will need another dog in his new home as he has never have lived in a house before. Navy will not be house trained or used to the sounds of everyday household appliances so another dog will help him enormously. To date Navy has had a hard life and he now needs a wonderful loving home to show him how good life can be.

06-05/-016 Needy is a 4year old male Bichon. He is an Ex breeding stud and has come to us to find his forever home. He is a little nervous, but did allow our outside staff to handle him and give a cuddle, with time he will learn to trust and be a loyal companion. Needy will need a home with a resident dog, we ask this with the majority of our Ex breeders as all they have ever know is the company of other dogs, Needy will need to be shown that every day household noises aren't that scary and wont harm him, sadly he has never lived in a house and it will be a strange environment for him so he will therefore need a friendly resident dog to help him settle in and learn about home life, also help him to learn to walk on a lead and house training. If you have time, love and patience for this lovely little chap then please send in an application

06-05-2016 Nosey is a two year old female ex-breeding Shih Tzu cross Bichon Frise. Nosey is a quiet little girl who has a beautiful personality already. She is not too nervous, is very cuddly and enjoys being picked up. She also knows what she likes and prefers to sleep on the floor instead of a comfy dog bed! She also is very fond of her doggy friends and will need another dog to be her friend in her new home, to help her settle in to her new exciting life ahead. If you think you can give her this life then please complete her application form.
