06-03-2017 Ben is a 6 year old male Bichon who has come to us from a home through no fault of his own with his other bichon friends. Jake and Ben are brothers and are inseparable so we are looking for a home for them where they can stay together. Ben has 3 legs having had one rear leg amputated at 8 weeks old. However, this does not hold him back and he can walk and run like any other dog. He sometimes needs carrying up steps or onto the sofa but can do it himself sometimes. He is house trained and walks on the lead. He has been brough up around children and is used to all ages. He travels well in car as long as he is with Jake and can be left for up to 4 hours with Jake. He gets on well with all small dogs and is fine with small furries like rabbits and guinea pigs but is not good with cats.

06-03-2017 Jake is a 6 year old male Bichon who has come to us from a home through no fault of his own with his other bichon friends. Jake and Ben are brothers and are inseparable so we are looking for a home for them where they can stay together. Jake has a fused back leg which just meens he can not bend it at the knee joint so it stays straight. It doesn't stop him running and walking, the only thing he has difficulty with is going up and down the stairs. He is house trained and walks on the lead. He travels well in car as long as he is with Ben and can be left for up to 4 hours with Ben. He does suffer with hot spots (sore patches of skin) from time to time. He gets on well with most small dogs unless they are very dominant males and is fine with small furries like rabbits and guinea pigs but is not good with cats.

07-03-2017 Beach is a 2 year old female Beagle who has been given to us by her breeder to find a forever home. She is a nervous girl who found the camera flash very scary, she won't approach us yet but is very sweet. She is much happier in the company of other dogs and is quite submissive, letting the others eat her food, so will need a kind canine companion in her new home to help her get used to the sights and sounds of everyday life and give her some much needed confidence. She will have never lived in a home before and will need help with housetraining and this will be easier if she can follow the example of a resident dog. At the moment Beach is too scared to walk on a lead but as she starts to settle we will gently introduce this to her. She will thrive in a quiet home with a patient owner who would like to give her lots of love and patience to help her become a happy, confident pet. If you can offer Beach the home that she really deserves then please apply as soon as possible and help her to take the next step into a better life. Beach has her own passport. She is by donation as our beagles find it harder to get a forever home.

04-03-2017 Everest is an 8 month old Poodle cross cavalier. Everest is a really good looking lad but like his friend Tiede who he came here with he has not been lucky. His breeder never sold him as a pup but felt sure someone would want to buy him as a stud dog. No one came. He was not stroked or chatted to, or played with not as a pup or as a juvenile. As a result his only his pleasure came from playing with another dog. Finally the breeder realized no one wanted these dogs, so again I was called. Everest is interested in humans but extremely scared, worried and wary about being picked up. He needs a home without children and at least one friendly existing canine companion along with a great human role model plot his path to happiness. Itís a huge responsibility, not one to be jumped into without a LOT of thought but if you feel like you want to make the journey to happiness with him and have the experience to help him please do apply as soon as possible. You will learn more about doggy behaviour with Everest than any text book can teach you and at the end your heart will be full of pride and his full of love for you.

07-03-2017 Brenda is a 2 year old female Pomeranian who has been given to us by her breeder to find a forever home. She is a very friendly, playful little girl who is happy to come up to you and give kisses. She enjoys the company of other dogs but can be a bit bossy at times and would love to be someones special girl. In the right circumstances with an experienced dog owner we would consider homing her as an only dog. If this was the case you would need to be sympathetic to her needs and understand that it may take longer for her to be house trained and settle into her new life as she will never have lived in a home before. If left on her own too soon after she is adopted this can lead to separation anxiety so this is also something that would need to be considered if she was an only dog. She may like to sleep in her new owners' bedroom if she is homed as an only dog. She is worried about the lead at the moment and needs to gain some confidence out and about. If you can offer Brenda the home that she really deserves then please apply as soon as possible and help her to take the next step into a better life. Brenda has her own passport.

06-03-2017 Lucy is an 11 year old female Bichon who was an exbreeder but has lived in a home for 5 years. She has come to us from a home through no fault of her own with her other bichon friends. She is usually found cuddled up with Midge so we are looking for a home for them where they can stay together. Lucy has both fused back legs which just means she can not bend them at the knee joint so they stay straight. It doesn't stop her getting around, the only thing she has difficulty with is going up and down the stairs and getting onto the sofa. She travels well in car and can be left for up to 4 hours. She likes walks on her harness and is housetrained. She is used to children but prefers quieter, older children as she is getting on in years. She gets on well with small dogs and is fine with small furries like rabbits and guinea pigs but is not keen on cats. She is by donation due to her age.

06-03-2017 Midge is a 6 year old male hairless Bichon who has come to us from a home through no fault of his own with his other bichon friends. He loves a cwtch and will go to sleep in your arms. Midge is usually found cuddled up with Lucy so we are looking for a home for them where they can stay together if possible. He is house trained and enjoys his walks. Midge is almost entirely hairless this is not a medical condition he was born with no hair and will not grow any. He needs similar skin care to other hairless breeds and it means he needs clothes to keep him warm in the winder and to stop him burning in the summer. He has very few teeth so needs soft food or his kibble soaked. He travels well in car and can be left for up to 4 hours. He is good with children and gets on well with all small dogs and is fine with small furries like rabbits and guinea pigs but is not keen on cats.

04-03-2017 London is an 8 year old male ex-stud bichon. He has spent his life in kennels but is quite inquisitive about his new surrounding. London will need at least one other dog to help him to learn about house training and lead walking and to help him learn that the TV and washing machine etc are nothing to fear. London will need a calm, gentle and loving home who understand this this is a brand new world for him and he will need time to adjust. He has his own passport and now all he needs is a home. He is by donation as he is a slightly older gentleman and his eyes are cloudy (he will see the vet for these) but you must be able to finance any care he may need in the future.
