07-07-15 Andy is a 3 year old ex-stud Beagle who has been returned to us and we are so sad for him. In his new home he was reported to have growled and barked at the children – he has however suffered from an ear infection (which is being treated) which would explain why he has reacted badly.
.....His previous fosterer had this to say about Andy “We had Andy here for over 6 weeks giving us plenty of time to assess him. Being a beagle he has a naughty streak - he liked to chew the odd thing not meant for him kind of naughty! Andy also proved to be laid back and was wonderful with my grandkids (6 and 4 years old) who stayed for a few days. They are more of a handful than Andy and he dealt with them well. I cannot ever imagine Andy snapping at anyone – he does like to jump up though! I do not believe Andy has a bad bone in his body, typical beagle naughtiness but I maintain he is compatible with children.”
.....Andy walks well on the lead and is happy for fuss and attention from whoever is willing to spend the time giving it to him! He does love his walks but prospective adopters might want to research beagles and their hound instincts – his previous adopters did say that he had recall though! Andy has experience of living in a home and could live with other dogs or as someone’s only boy if his new owners were around most of the time. Please don’t let his return put you off him, having seen him today he is looking so sad and just wants to be loved. Please consider this handsome boy as your new best friend.

19-02-15 Falcon is a 2 year old ex-stud Harrier. He is a lovely boy who is nervous when he is away from his kennel mates. He seems to particularly like men and is very happy around them. Falcon can walk on a lead but needs to practice a little to boost his confidence. He will need to have another dog in his new home to show him all about home life and help him learn about house training etc and to be his lifelong chum. Falcon will need an active home who enjoy walking as when he becomes more confident he will need plenty of exercise. His owners need time and patience and understand this is a new world to Falcon and he will need time to adjust and settle.

18-6-15 This 6 year old ex-breeding Bichon is called Florence. This petite girl will shy away from you if you approach her but will settle in your arms after a few minutes. Florence will need a confident resident dog in her new home, something her own size to cuddle with would be nice! Florence has started learning about the lead but it's all still a bit new and scary. We shall try and build her confidence whilst she is here but in her new home she might find a lot scary, dishwashers and telephones may be very new to her - with plenty of time and love she will learn that they aren't so bad. Please read our information on ex-breeding dogs and fill in an application for Florance.

8-6-15 This beautiful 2 year old harrier is called Harriet! Harriet is a real sweetie who is full of energy and really loves people. Harriet will not have lived in a home before or without other dogs so we feel at the moment she would best be homed with a confident resident dog who will help her learn about being someones best friend. Harriet walks well on the lead but may need house training. She absolutely adores her food, as most hounds do! She is a high energy girl who will need lots of stimulation so please only apply if you are prepared to give this to her. Harriet is gorgeous and we do hope she won't be here long, please if you feel you can offer her the best home fill in an adoption form to register your interest.

28-01-2015 Kentucky is a 2 year old Terrier cross girl who has come to us from a breeder. She is sweet but a little timid at present. She does not walk on the lead and will need to learn about house training. Kentucky will need an understanding family who will give her time to adjust to her new life and a calm friendly dog or dogs who will help her to settle into her new home. With a little time and patience she is going to make a wonderful addition to your home.

28-06-15 Paddy is a beautiful 8 week old shih tzu puppy who was born in a foster home. He was the first out the whelping box and leading his siblings astray. He has a large hernia which will possibly need surgery at a later date so this is something his new owners need to be aware of. His character is bold and he's handsome to look at. Paddy, although born to a scared mum (called Puddle) is just oozing in confidence and loves to play. He must attend puppy training classes and be neutered at 6 months old.

19-03-15 Wotsit is a 6 year old ex-breeding beagle. She enjoys meeting people, taking time to say hello to you as though she has known you all her life and has a beautiful soul. She is confident and can already walk on a lead. She is clever and enjoys exploring. She aims to please and is desperate to be loved and give you her love in return. What a fantastic dog. She gets on well with other dogs and would happilly share her new home with othere. In the right circumstances we would consider homing her as an only dog although it may take her longer to house train and she would never have been left completely on her own before which is something which would need to be considered. We have so many beagles looking for homes at the moment and we really can't understand why. Wotsit is such a wonderful example of her breed. She is gentle, kind and affectionate.

15-7-15 This handsome 7 year old Lhasa is ex-stud Laddy! Laddy really enjoys the company of other dogs and would love at least one new canine friend in his new home. He won't have ever seen the inside of a house before though so washing machines and hoovers may be frightening the first few times! His new doggy friend will help him learn they aren't so menacing after all. Laddy will need house training but he is learning to walk on a lead and we will continue this whilst he is here. Laddy is a happy but unsocialised boy and his new family will need to be aware it may take a bit of time for him to fully settle. Laddy is a cuddle bunny underneath his manly stud exterior; if you have the time and love for him that he so craves please read our ex-breeding information and fill in an application form.

14-7-15 This ex-breeding lhasa apso is 3 year old Leona. Leona is quite unsure at the moment but if you sit quietly a little while she will approach you for some gentle fuss. Leona will definitely need a confident resident dog in her new home to help her learn the ropes about being a pet in a house. Leona's previous life will have meant she won't have lived in a home and so hoovers and washing machines will seem like great big noisy monsters when you have never seen one before! With time and the support of a kind resident dog or dogs she will learn they aren't so scary and her new friend will help her learn about house training. Leona has just been introduced to a lead and we will carry on working with her on this whilst she is here. Once this girl settles her happy centre starts to show! With plenty of TLC this girl will begin to shine, can you give her the chance to be the star that she is? Please read our information on ex-breeding dogs before applying.

14-7-15 This 3 year old ex-breeding Lhasa is called Lyric. Lyric needs a confident canine friend or friends in her new home to help her learn. She is quite nervous at first meeting and would benefit from a friend to show her that things aren't all so scary. Lyric isn't walking on a lead at the moment and won't be house trained but her new friend can help show her that these things are good to do! Normal house hold appliances might be quite frightening for her so her new owners will need to understand it could take a bit of time for her to truly settle. Despite her lack of socialisation Lyric is quite inquisitive so it shouldn't take her long to adjust! Lyric has a song buried in her that we are sure will be beautiful when she starts to sing - if you are committed to helping her find her voice please read our ex-breeding information and fill in an application form for lovely Lyric.

15-07-2015 Jilly is a 4 year old ex-breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Jilly is a little nervous but given reassurance is quietly inquisitive. Jilly walks on the lead and is great with other dogs. Jilly is a sweet natured girl who can be an only dog but this will mean that things like house training will take a little longer, Jilly will never have come across such every day things like the Hoover, traffic and lots of new sights, sounds and smells. Jilly will need an owner who is willing to give her the time and love she so deserves.

15-07-15 At 5 months old Macaroni and his brother were taken to the vets to be put to sleep but the vet saved them, after securing a rescue place at Many Tears Animal Rescue and subsequently we were lucky to be able to foster them. Macaroni was soon adopted and has been living with a lovely family with school age children for 10 months. He was given the new name of Marmite. The family’s circumstances have now changed and Marmite through no fault of his own is back in our care, the family are very upset.
This is what the family have written:
‘Marmite is an extremely loyal and good natured dog and a good mix of collie/lab/retriever. He is sociable with humans, loves a fuss and cuddle and is good with children. He can be submissive with other dogs but equally likes to run and play with them. He routinely has a one and a half hour morning walk, loves to play frisbee (the further thrown the better) and he loves to swim. He will sit/lie down on command and has good recall. He is fully house trained, castrated, wormed and fleaed with no health concerns. He is a beautiful dog who needs outdoor type lifestyle with LOTS of love. (Might hop onto sofa for a cuddle!)’
.....Marmite was a gorgeous good natured puppy, he has matured into a very handsome, well balanced adult. He walked into our home and was immediately part of the pack of seven other dogs, big and small, old and young, sedate and exuberant, placid and temperamental. He is such an easy going house guest, a very well mannered, gentle natured dog who is house trained, sleeps all night and walks very well on the lead. At first he was unsure of Mango (another foster dog) with her exuberance, they are now the very best of pals where they play for long periods during the day.
We love having Marmite back in our lives, but he needs the stability of his very own family. Thank you for reading Marmite’s story.

15-7-15 This is 6 year old ex-breeder Josie the westie! We see a quietly confident girl when with her kennel friends so she will definitely need a new friend in her new home to help her adjust. Josie will probably have never been inside a home before so some things might be scary such as the hoover or washing machine! Her new friend will help her realize that they aren't so bad after a bit of time. A sweet natured lady who needs to learn about the world and how nice people can be. Josie is a beginner on the lead at the moment but we will try and help her with this whilst she is here. If you have a kind dog already living with you who would like a friend, and you are a patient and understand person then please read our information on ex-breeding dogs and get in touch via the adoption form.

18-07-15 Brenda is a very small 3 year old ex-breeding beagle. She is extremely worried about the new life she finds herself in and needs time to adjust and understand all we have to offer. Sadly we have so many beagles I am worried she will not have much interest in her. Brenda will definitely need a confident resident dog in her new home to help her learn the ropes about being a pet in a house. Her previous life means she has never lived in a home and so hoovers and washing machines will seem very scary at first as she will never have seen or heard anything like them before. With time and the support of a kind resident dog or dogs she will learn they aren't so scary and her new friend will help her learn about house training. With plenty of TLC this girl will begin to shine. Please don't over look this lady, she needs a special home so much. Please also read our information on ex-breeding dogs before applying.

17-07-15 Imogen is a 3 year old exbreeding yorkie. She is a poppet. She really wants to learn to interact with humans, but has never had the chance up to now. She will copy an outward going dog and learn the fastest that way, and be the happiest that way.
She is a dear little girl and will make any adopter very happy to have, as I think watching her bloom will be a great and rewarding experience.
