I have had a desperate text message from my vets as follows:
"You don't know of a home for a 7yr old gsd bitch do you. Her owners brought her in tonight to be PTS as they said she was aggressive and had bitten someone. She was lovely and when questioned they admitted that they had made the story up because they are moving and don't want to take her with them so they wanted her putting to sleep. we only really have until tomorrow to find her somewhere because they are moving then" I have tried Ted at Lancashire GSD rescue who usually helps out, but he is full to bursting. I hace found her emergency accommodation until Monday if needed, but this can only be until Monday evening. Can anyone help out. |

Try Vigil GSD rescue. If she is going to any resuce please make sure thsat they will assess her properly and have her spayed (if she isn't already) and not just sell her on within 24 hours of them getting her....sadly there are some less then reputable rescue operating

Thanks for the suggestions. Don't worry Pauline, she won't be going just anywhere.
This little girl is now safe. I am collecting her from the vets at 7.30pm, she is then going to spend Easter with my friend and on Monday I will be taking her to kennels used by GSDSuze who has so kindly offered her a rescue place. This post has been edited by Goldiemad: 4th Apr 2012, 4:57 pm |
