I have 3 chickens and a dog. My dog integrates well with the chickens and isn't bothered by them at all. The chickens free roam in the garden and the only time my dog shows any adverse behaviour is if they come up to the house, at which time she will warn them off with a little bark (as if to say, this is my territory and you're not coming in).
However, when the chickens lay down in the sun she seems to get upset. She will go from the chickens to me and back and forth whimpering. Is she thinking the chickens are ill or injured? Or is that just my human perception? Why does it bother her when the chickens lay down? Just curios!! |

She may think they look sick, or be worried they are making themselves too at home!
Beans ignores our guinea pig in her cage in the house, but goes mad when she's in her run in the garden |

My dog barks at my neighbour when she is her garden kneeling down to do weeding but fine with her when she is standing.

All very strange.
Thanks for the replies. I guess that just makes my dog 'normal' then |
