These look like my dog who is golden retriever collie cross and I would agree they are great dogs.

I had one as my first dog and he was a great all round dog which is why I'm looking for another :-).
It's proving hard but they are around for the next 10 or so years so it's worth it.

Any ideas where I can find one?

The do come into rescue but are usually adopted quite quickly.

You could contact rescues on your area to enquire of they have any. Sometimes not all dogs available for rehoming are put on the websites

I have emailed all the rescues in Cheshire so fingers crossed. It would still be great for people to let me know if they have found anything like this as sometimes the rescues get so busy they find it hard to reply.

Bella would have been great too be Dorset is many hours drive for us.
We are looking in Cheshire, Staffordshire, Manchester and Shropshire.

I would love to rescue a collie cross retriever its just really hard to find one. If there is one out there I would be so happy to find him.

Unfortunately, dogs don't come into rescue to order.

There have been a few mentioned to you, so they do come up, but wanting one in a specific area can mean waiting longer.

All the ones mentioned have been rehomed so they don't wait in rescue for long.

Can you extend your search area?

I travelled 450 miles each way for my recent rescue- a retriever /gsd cross who is as nice as my retriever /collie cross.

I have finally managed to find myself a wonderful 1 year old Collie x retriever :-).
