I was asked to Foster a White Min Poodle boy called Fonzi by a friend and after many emails and discussions I agreed, he was transported here last Wednesday and is settling in well.
Fonzi has had a terrible time, was a street dog and rescued in a terrible state, photo`s in post No2, these photo`s were sent to me on Thursaday and reduced me to tears, poor poor boy crying.gif crying.gif
Fonzi then spent many months in the rescue with little interaction with people, he was SAFE, fed and cared for which is more than he had on the streets.

Fonzi has been here a week and a half now, he was very shut down and I feared had given up, I stayed up all night with him and Diago my kitten did too. I prayed he would still be with us in the morning and he was - his 1st mile stone.

Over the time he has been here he has been clipped, bathed and made friends with my girls, he is getting braver every day but its SO hard for him to trust people yet, he loves my dogs and cats but is still warry of me and the family, its very much on his terms and lots of treats.

Kind people have sent him coats and treats as he so felt the cold when I clipped his coat off and he likes Dried Chicken treats - those he will take from my fingers.

We have a long way to go and Fonzi has many Fears to conquer but he is being so Brave and trying SO hard bless him. We have as much time as Fonzi needs and it will be a LONG Hard road for him and he has a place here for as long as he needs one. I have promised him I will do all I can to help him and he will never be unloved or need to be afraid.

Kestla, although those photos in post number two are upsetting, they are the past. You are giving him a chance of a future. Thank you. hug.gif

Dear, dear little man. I am sure with your patience and love in time he will come round. Are you sure he will only be a foster?

Errr for now YES, long term lets get him better for now and worry about that later rolleyes.gif

I should probably point out he did fly to the Uk, spent 2 days with a friend before coming here.

Fonzi has caused lots of worry and for now we are all pleased he is settling in and Holly my Collie X has taken him under her care.
He was not sure about my GSD Dara - they are great frinds now and he is nearly playing with her smile.gif

Poor boy, thank goodness he has you on his side now.

I'm sure he will reward your patience very soon.

I have a Poodle X and he's such a dear little boy and very very sensitive

(quite lazy too but we won't go into that!)

Keep us posted and well done.
