Hi, we are Heather and Mike living in Milton Keynes. We are experienced dog-owners (32 years) and have recently lost our lovely collie-cross Misty who was with us for the last 12 years after we found her at the local pound.
Our home is very empty without her and we would love to offer it to a medium sized dog, preferably aged around 1-2 years. Breed is not important but we would prefer not to have one of the 'chunkier' types such as Staffie or Bulldog etc. We have a nice dog-friendly garden and very close by there are lovely safe open places for walks and runs on and off the lead. We would offer walks 3-4 times a day as needed and I would love to be able to take my new friend to agility and/or obedience training so a lively personality is no problem. There are no other pets in the household and now no children at home either. We have a grandson who visits occasionally, he is used to dogs having two daschunds in his home. There is somebody at home for most of most days and I have the facility to work from home now and again if needed. We can travel to meet or collect our new friend and are happy for any home checks assessments etc. that would be necessary. |

Hi. Would be interested in hearing/seeing more details so that we can assess whether it would be worth making the trip. Thank you.

Hi, thank you for your post. Seamus looks gorgeous but we are not really looking for a staffie or similar type breed. However, we are local to HULA so can pop down there to have a look at the weekend maybe. |

Thank you for your post. I have had a look at Morgan's thread and will speak with my husband later to see if we think we would be right for him. Hi. We are interested in Morgan and will fill out a form via your website. We are currently considering several lovely boys and girls and hope to be able to give one of them a new home |

I have spoken with Morgan's foster mum and we are interested in taking the application further. I do have a couple of minor doubts regarding his age and size and we would really need to meet him before committing finally. I have also posted on your boards regarding Jem who we would certainly be interested in if we are not a perfect match for Morgan. Could we be considered for him whilst we go through the home-check process etc so that we and you could assess which, if either, would be the better match? I hope this is all OK, we really want to make sure our next friend gets the best possible home. |
