Nelson is a 6 year old Border Collie looking for a new home due to a relationship break up - he is neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. He is housetrained and very good in the house - he can be left for a few hours (I work full time and only pop home at lunchtime) and is happy to settle down during the evening.
He is very good out walking - he does pull on a short lead but he's ok on an extended lead. Off the lead he is excellent and has good recall. He will play with a stick for hours and loves playing with his toy in the park! Nelson is very friendly with people and appears good with kids although he's never actually lived with any - he's been great with our visiting nephew and nieces (9 & 11) and loves to play football with them! He is good with other dogs but no idea about cats. We have been looking after him for a few months as he was going to be put to sleep when some of our neighbours split up. We really need to find him a new home now as we have an old dog who has always been an only dog and is not coping and finding it extremenly stressful living with him. If you think you can offer Nelson a home then PLEASE get in touch. We are located near the West / North Yorkshire border. Attached image(s)

We've seen cats out and about walking and all he's done is stare at them for a while and then run past!
His previous owner had a small nephew, probably 2 ish, and Nelson was fine with him, allowed him to stroke him etc |

Have you tried Border Collie rescues? There are several across the country, but your nearest is probably:

He is stunning! We're in North Wales.. and currently between cars.
How does he react around other dogs - dominate or submit in nature? |

Mokee - thank you will try them, I have tried a collie rescue near us but they were full so thanks for this info
Chloe - he's generally submissive but as a rule prefers to just ignore |
