![]() Snoop is a gorgeous 7yr old male He is looking for a calm home with an experienced owner who is willing to go slowly and build his confidence, he needs consistency and routine and of course lots of love! Snoop was rescued from living in the back of a van 4 1/2 years ago. He has overcome a lot of issues but still has a wee bit of a way to go. He is a very calm loving boy but can be very nervous in busy or loud situations, meeting new people and dogs, and around loud traffic like motorbikes. Snoop is currently living with 2 other male dogs who he is very good with, but he can be quite dominant and doesn't always get on with dogs he meets while out and about. We think Snoop would suit a home where he is the only dog, or maybe with careful intros he could live with a very steady bitch who will show him there's nothing to worry about. Although Snoop is good with children he may be better suited to living with older kids if any as younger children tend to be a little boisterous and exciteable for him! He will not be rehomed with cats and is not very comfortable around livestock. If you would like to know more about Snoop please contact Linda http://www.staffierescuescotland.co.uk/ind...2&Itemid=33 |

From the website
"I met the gorgeous Snoop tonight - what a big cuddly boy he is When we went into the house all 3 dogs (he lives with a lurcher and a JRT) came running through to see us, all 3 were well behaved but Snoop came, had a wee bum wiggle and then went off back to the other room with his bone! The other 2 stayed through for the attention and Snoop came back through when called and plonked himself down onto John's feet for some ear rubbing. He is a very soft and calm boy He is 7yrs old - which some people see as old but it's really not! He's healthy and his coat is beautiful. The other 2 dogs he lives with are both 10yr old males and they all get on fine, they have toys and food with no issues and they all sleep together downstairs at night. However he can become quite dominant over them occasionally. Snoop ended up with his current owner after being rescued by a friend from life in the back of a van he has overcome a lot of his issues but there is still some work to do. I'd really like to find him a special home where he can learn the world isn't such a scary place. He can be nervous of new people he meets and doesn't always see eye to eye with dogs while out and about. He is also very nervous in loud or busy areas and around loud traffic such as motorbikes. We think Snoop would be best homed as an only dog, or with careful intros he could live with a calm steady bitch who can show him everything is not so scary. A calm environment, with an experienced and patient owner, and a consistent routine is what this boy needs " |
