Both of my boys want to chase cows
So we did some 'how to be calm and behave around cows' training on our walk. How to say hello nicely (and not bark at them to make them run Mr Kofi! ![]() He was a bit of a hit and they all wanted to say hello ![]() Shilah saying hello and not leaping about ![]() Mummy says we must not chase cows ![]() And a few other pics from our lovely walk this morning Shy delighted when he spotted a puddle ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -------------------- |

Aww, they're lovely pictures (as always).
Saffy (our girl GSD) loves other animals- cows especially because they are always so curious |

i get so envious seeing all the lovely pictures of off-lead doggies, but with Ellie it just wasn't meant to be. |

What beautifully well behaved lads Wow, great cow training (for some reason I had visions of you clicker training the cows) Thanks all. The cow training is still a work in progress, Shilah is curious but also skittish and wants to jump about and bark at them and that usually makes the cows skittish which makes Shilah worse. And Kofi has learnt that if barks then they all run stampeding off and that is great fun. So, now we have to do lots of 'leave it' work when we pass cows. -------------------- |

QUOTE I do love your boys just a bit. Thanks. QUOTE What a lovely walk and photos, I love the one of Shilah all delighted, and Kofi carrying his (whatever it is Shilah was so funny, he saw the puddle and did a proper 'Ooooh muddy puddle QUOTE Fantastic pic's once again, your dogs are so well behaved, bless em There were loose cows in Scotland which we gave a wide berth to, I try and avoid actually walking through a cow field with my two. They are ok on lead but their body language is very interested and seems to make the cows want to come over and investigate This post has been edited by coinsky: 4th Mar 2012, 11:30 am -------------------- |

Lovely pics. The boys are doing really well with the cows, I don't think many dogs would do a down stay with curious cows right behind them.
