I am putting out this request for a very dear friend of mine who is looking for an older dog, preferably a Labrador and Labrador X. She lost her dog Ginnie (Lab/Retriever cross) last September and has been looking for another companion ever since but without success. She lives in North Warwickshire, about half way between Atherstone and Tamworth.
She lives on her own and really misses having a dog for company. She can't get around very well herself, but has an army of Cinnamon Trust volunteers (including myself) who will ensure the dog will have at least one good walk a day. Rest assured the dog will be very well looked after and loved to bits. She lives in a small bungalow with a medium, fully secure garden in a village with lots of lovely walks nearby. She has been home checked by one Labrador rescue charity and passed with flying colours. Unfortunately they do not seem to have any dogs suitable for her, and not likely to do so for some time. Her requirements are as follows: * Must be a bitch * Would prefer a larger dog and has had Labrador, Labrador/retriever cross in the past * Would prefer an older dog 8+ * As she is elderly herself the dog must be quiet and calm We are looking for rescues within reasonable travelling distance (ie in the Midlands area). Any help would be very much appreciated. VivS |
