Hi, I am posting this topic on behalf of a friend of mine who hasn't got a computer! Ever since I have known her, some 20 years, she has had smooth collies and has sadly just lost her old girl. She has still got her old boy (13) but would like to get a friend for him until the sad day, at which time she will probably get another smooth collie.
She is a lady on her own, we live near Newton Abbot in Devon, and she has no grandchildren or other pets. In fact you never see her out and about without her dogs. If you can help (because she does insist on a smooth collie - not a collie with a smooth coat) please let me know and I can pass on your details. Here's hoping!! |

Thank you for all your responses but none (so far) are smooth collies. The lady is still looking and although they are a rare breed, there must be one or two somewhere looking for a forever loving home.

I am sorry to have to let you know that my friend's younger smooth collie passed away yesterday. She is now very lonely and is looking forward to giving two smooth collies (or crosses) a loving home for life.
If you can help, please do not hesitate to let me know and I will pass the details on to her. Here's hoping! |

Hi there
I have a smooth collie bitch who I am thinking I have to rehome. Family circumstances have changed (separated), have moved house and it's not working so well. She's been spayed and has just turned five. We are finding it hard to give her the exercise she needs and it's just not fair on her. I don't know if you are still looking because I know your last post was a while back. Sally is KC registered, tricolour. She's smallish for the breed, lithe, very athletic, agile and pretty. I can give you more information if you are interested, but geography could be a problem. I am in North Herts. However, as you know this is a rare breed and so I think people accept that they may not find one that is local. Let me know. Best wishes |
