Missy is a 5 year old Rhodesian Cross who is spayed, up-to-date on her shots, and chipped. She knows basic commands and is a fast learner so it wouldn't be difficult to teach her more commands. She is good with people and is a very loving dog. We have to find her a new home because our circumstances have changed and we can no longer give her the attention and time that she needs and deserves. She is high energy and loves walks. She has some issues with other dogs but we are working with her on them and she has been seen by a behaviourist who has assured us that with some training and desensitization these issues can be resolved.
We love her very much and are very sad to have to re-home her but we think it would be better for her to go to another home. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Whoops, sorry. We're in the eastern part of Somerset near Yeovil but are willing to travel with her.

Hello Again! We are still very desperate to find Missy a new home. She is a good dog but it has become difficult to juggle her, another dog, and our 10 month baby girl in our home because energy level and needs are too much for us to handle right now. She does well with some dogs when she is off lead and has lived with another female for the past few years, so she is capable of living with other dogs. She would probably do best with a dog that is larger than her and preferably a male. She is also crate trained, house trained, and can be left in her crate for a few hours each day with no issues.
If anyone is interested in her please let me know. We are in Templecombe, Somerset but are more than willing to travel. Thank you. This post has been edited by punky8011: 4th Mar 2012, 4:10 pm |

Hello yet again! We are still actively searching for a home for Missy. She's a good girl, she's just not getting everything that she needs with us and it's not fair to her. We simply don't have the time and energy that she needs to be devoted just to her.

Sorry you're having to rehome Missy, and are having a hard time doing so. Have you tried Rhodesian Ridgeback breed rescue? Some breed rescues won't help with crossbreeds but it's worth a try.

We have tried the breed specific rescues and they all said that they wouldn't help because she's a cross

We had given up on finding a home for Missy and focused on our other dog Sophie. We were able to find Sophie a home but unfortunately she is being returned to us this weekend. We are desperate to find a home for either one of our dogs. We have called every rescue in our area and some out of our area only to be turned down or put on an endless waiting list. I am at the end of my rope and have given up hope.
If anyone is interested in offering Missy a home please let me know. We are running out of options for her and she's a good girl who just doesn't get along well with other dogs. She would be happy as a clam to be an only dog as she loves people. Thank you! |
