Hello, I`m becky and our family are looking for a lively youngish (0-6) addition to our family smile.gif

We have lots of experiance throughtout dog sitting for very long periods (our last was a yr) we even rehomed a staff from a rescue unfortunatly with all the will and teaching in the world we could not stop her from `catching` the cats during the night, and she had to go back, we loved her and miss her and it heart so much when I wrote a note saying how friendly she was with the family and how she loved doing camping and swimming at the beach, thankfully that letter meant she went to a fantastic home within days..(with no cats) ohmy.gif

We lost our springer/collie before christmas, although you`d have never imagined he was 14 being pts for his best interests was heartbreaking. We now have a big gapping hole that I would love to fill with the right dog from a rescue or rehome due to family moving ect.

We are an active family that do camping, walking, geocaching..(google it it fab)... My husband has not worked for a while due to health reasons meaning he needs regular naps, I am the income earning but after having my daughter I am back at college and off to a local uni in sept... (3 days a week 9-2 ish) with my teenage son at school just down the hill we usually have someone at home! The cats are used to dogs, my son has never known life without one around, my daughter is still searching and calling for `syd`.

We may not have millions (or even hundreds) in the bank and as much as I`d love a new puppy springer I don`t agree with the fees and breeding.. so here I am... and thats a bit...(sorry if a bit much) about me.

In my search for the right doggie friend I visit dogstrust, have done some home visits for hope and regulary look at springer rescues... Unfortunatly lots of people seem to think springers infact most dogs are not suitable for small children. I am experianced and have taught my children to respect dogs and the ones that are kiddie friendly seem not to be cat friendly

hope this is all ok... thanks for reading so much if you got this far...
becky and family.
xx

I am new to the forum so not quite sure how it all works. I have emailed you directly but not sure whether I have gone about it the right way and perhaps should have posted on here first.

'Loving home needed for 16 week old male cocker spaniel show/working strain mix. Tri-coloured with beautiful markings. Pedigree and KC registered. Very reluctant rehoming due to genuine circumstance.
He is microchipped with vaccines and worming up to date. He is house trained, crate trained and travels very well in the car. He has started basic reward training and responded very well (eg recall, sit, stay, shake a paw, roll over, in your bed, off, leave it etc ) and he has begun loose lead walking. He has completed a training course at 'puppy school'. He has been well socialised and is a confident, friendly, affectionate puppy - always keen to meet new people (including children) and dogs. We have seen no evidence of aggression whatsoever. He is a bright, energetic puppy who learns quickly and new owners must be prepared to give him the stimulation and time that he deserves. Monetary offer would be appreciated but real priority is to find a good home.'

Please do get in touch if you are interested or have any queries.

Hi Heartbreak
Sorry you are having to rehome your pup.

You can advertise your dog here but there is a proviso with all privately homed dogs that they are not sold on dogpages.

The following is at the top of the Private rehoming section.......

The forum cannot be used to sell any dog or pup but you may wish to ask for a donation with a cheque made out to the rescue of your choice to help other dogs.

Have you tried the CockersOnline Forum? There's a rescue section where dogs up for re-homing are advertised- or you could always post a 'looking for' thread. smile.gif
