Gabriel has been with Bristol DAWG for a couple of months now, but is not gaining weight as quickly as we had hoped. He has been seen by a vet and there appears to be nothing physically wrong with him, but the kennel environment plus the extremely cold weather is not helping with his recovery. Despite everything this poor dog has been through he is one of the happiest dogs you could wish to meet. We feel that Gabriel would benefit greatly from a foster home, so if you feel you could help this lovely dog please contact one of the Trustees as soon as possible.
Gabriel came to us after being found, tied up with Merlin, on an allotment, with no shelter, food or drink. We are so grateful to the ladies who found them and removed them from their lonely situation. Sadly, a third greyhound taken with them was so poorly, he was taken to the vet who advised he should be let go to end his suffering. Now, the second part of their lives can begin. They are both intelligent, friendly boys who enjoy human contact but due to their racing background, wouldn't be suitable to be homed with cats.
