We have recently taken 10 rabbits from a lady who couldnt afford to look after them any more and she has now emailed us asking to take her 7 chinchilla's and 4 degu.
Whilst we have said we will help her I feel that these chins will be better of in a chinnie rescue. We are assuming none are neutered and that the single boys are just that, singles. If anyone can offer any of them a rescue space or a forever home with our RBU them please let me know asap. Anyone wishing to offer a forever home, we will arrange to have the boy neutered beforehand and ideally will be rehomed with an existing female. Some of them come with cages 4 degu boys live together aged 2 years 3 x chinchilla boys father and sons nice chins but are fur chewers, so dont look the nicest aged 5 ½ and 4 years 1 x grey chinchilla boy aged 7 years 1 x violet wrap chinchilla boy aged 2 years 1 x black white cross chinchilla boy aged 2 1/2 years 1 x beige chinchilla boy aged 6 years Many thanks Tracy __________________ Co-Ordinator Animals IN Need Northamptonshire www.animals-in-need.org |

It might be worth contacting Linda on to the ChinsRUs rescue site.
As far as I know, ChinsRUs rescue is full to bursting, but even if they can't take them in, they do have a section on their forum for chins / degus looking for homes with other rescues. Like dogpages, their site is mainly used by those involved in rescue so it could lead to a good home? |

The boys are still looking but they currently live in a huge cage (about 6ft X 4ft) which ideally we would like them to stay in as its home but not sure how we would get that and them all the way to Devon??
