Editor and Publisher of Dogs Today Magazine

I've been dog mad since I was a kid and since 1990 I've been the Editor of Dogs Today magazine. I've a life-long love of Beardies and now also have a rescued working Springer, Tess. I'm Chairman of the ancient and tiny charity Tailwaggers and would dearly love to see it grow as there's never been such a need for a charity that listens.

Yes, King Uther wub.gif and Rupert Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer !

After his West End debut as Jesus in "Godspell," Anthony went on to star in many acclaimed stage productions with roles as diverse as Absalom in Peter Shaffer's "Yonadab," Freddie Trumper in "Chess" and Frank-N-Furter in "The Rocky Horror Show." His career went from strength to strength, with guest leading roles in many TV series throughout the late 1970s and '80s, including "Secret Army," "Enemy at the Door," "Love in a Cold Climate" and "Howard's Way."

Anthony then went in search of widening his audience in the U.S. His first forays into American television included a guest appearance on "NYPD Blue" and one season of the groundbreaking Fox series "VR.5." A year later, he won the role of Rupert Giles in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," a critically acclaimed series that would achieve cult status and make him an international star.

Back in the UK, Anthony has continued to show his diversity as an actor, starring in programmes such as "Manchild," "Persuasion," "Free Agents" and the wonderfully bizarre "Little Britain," while continuing to guest star in notable dramas including "Spooks," "Reversals" and "New Tricks."

After a successful run at The Old Vic playing Flan in "Six Degrees of Separation," Anthony finished filming Series 4 of BBC1's highly successful "Merlin." Prior to this, he completed filming "The Iron Lady," alongside Meryl Streep and directed by Phyllida Lloyd. He also filmed an appearance in the "The Inbetweeners Movie," which is based on the award-winning British television series. He is currently working on a five part series for the BBC called 'Dancing on the Edge'.
