Dixxie is a beautiful English Bull Terrier girl who is aged 4 years.
She is a really gorgeous girl whose only "flaw" appears to be that she gets upset if startled out of her sleep (just like most heavy sleepers!) instead of being given time to wake-up properly. Dixxie is great with the other dogs at the sanctuary and is also good with them when out on walks, but we feel that she would love to be the only dog in her home where she would get all of the attention. She has had eye surgery for untreated entropian, which was successful. But she does have to have drops for dry eye which is not complicated and can be explained to anybody who is interested. Dixxie is not bad on lead, although, just like the majority of bullbreeds, she's not bothered about 100% perfect heelwork if there's something interesting to sniff! She has good recall and is good off lead. We would love to find Dixie a good home she has been waiting such a long time... Dixie has been spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped. Please in the first instance fill in one of our adoption questionaires if you email theminnicans@dsl.pipex.com ![]() ![]() |

I'm sure you've already considered this, but is it possible that she is deaf/partially deaf - in view of her colouring? It would explain why she sleeps so deeply and is easily startled. My deaf boy is the same.

My deaf boy is the same. No she is'nt deaf - In Bull Terriers this can be quite common them getting a bit grumpy when woken up - they sleep so deeply but thank you for caring.. |

If only we weren't in between houses, she is a fabulous girl. I already have a Bullie and they are very special dogs.
If, she is still around (fingers and toes crossed she won't) when we eventually move, we will come back to you. Maybe more pictures would 'sell' her? Sending warm woofs, Arletta |
