Louie met with a potential new home yesterday and was fearful of their big dog so we think he would be better off with another smaller dog or possibly to be an only dog. Louie will definitely not accept meeting any potential new dog friends at home as he was territorial so would like to meet any potential new doggy friends in neutral territory. Still looking for the right fit for Louie.

Just an update on Louie. We've had him to a few classes and he has been excellent. We have found that when he is walked without my other dogs, he is like a different dog and his socialisation skills are definately getting better. We have found that the more we walk him without the others the quicker he is becoming more sociable with other dogs so think that his new home should be able to continue to walk him daily and he should continue to come on. Will post some more pics this weekend.

Aww thankyou. He really is a dream....until another dog runs at him and he has a meltdown! I see him as a bit of a rough diamond that just needs polishing by someone who can polish better than I can!

A Little update: our EOI has been picked out the visa pool by NZ immigration, so we will hopefully have our visas in the next 2/3 months or so fingers crossed.

He is really loving the great weather and getting out and about at the minute! He is an excellent companion/partner in crime and loves getting out and about with us!

I've had lots of e-communication from various people but what I'm really looking for is for someone to come and actually see him and see if they have that connection with him so please get in touch!

Forgot to add that I realised today that I have been trying to rehome this great little fellow for almost a year now! I wonder if my over the top honest approach is putting people off???? I hope people understand that I have described his few issues super thoroughly so that people don't get any nasty little surprises, but he is by no means a bad dog...99.9% of the time everyone who knows him thinks he's absolutely wonderful. I just would hate someone to rehome a dog to me who didn't tell me every small detail about areas that require improvement.

I should also add that the issue he's had with lacking confidence is improving as we're getting him out and about every day, he runs happily off lead around other dogs when were out walking or riding with no problems. An experienced owner should be able to reinforce this and have him happy go lucky around other dogs in no time. Especially someone new - my fear of big dogs obviously influences him.

I'm starting to feel very disillusioned with people who get in touch and offer a home then end up ignoring me. I didn't expect rehoming him to be this gruelling. Ahhh!

Me too, he is such a jolly dog as well, never met such a loving dog! Thanks for the luck im going to need it!
