In 2007, we organised an auction here on DP, to raise funds to cover the running costs of Dogpages.

It costs approximately 300 per month to run this site (mainly used up by the server costs) and we have enough dosh left in the DP coffers for 2 more months.

Therefore, we will once again be holding an auction and we need lovely goodies!

Whoever has items to donate to the auction will be able to list the item(s) themselves. Please keep photos to a reasonable size, not too big, as it slows the server down. A reminder of how to post/resize photos HERE (Barb will help if you have any problems with doing pictures - e mail barbz@orangehome.co.uk) and once you've listed, we'll lock the thread until the auction is ready to begin.

The auction will run from Thursday 8th April (time of opening to be arranged) until Friday 16th April (time of closing to be arranged).

If you are able to help us by offering any item(s) for the auction, we ask that you are
  • Prepared to list the item in the relevant section of the auction
  • Prepared to send it out in a timely manner to the winning bidder
  • Prepared to cover the cost of the postage
If you have an item which is too heavy to send by post, you can state FOR COLLECTION ONLY in your listing and the area that the item would need to be collected from. (So you would have to be prepared for someone to come to your house or wherever, to collect it from you).

If you have an item which is of high value ( unsure.gif - feeling wishful - lol.gif ) and you feel that the item should be listed with a reserve price, please contact a moderator prior to listing, to arrange the reserve price.

There will be sections within the auction for dog stuff, other animal stuff, human goodies, items for the home and a further section - if necessary - for anything which doesn't fit into those categories!

If you list an item and realise that you have made an error and you can't edit, please contact a moderator and give the link to your thread and explain what needs editing smile.gif

If you have any questions, please ask them in THE PINNED THREAD IN DOG CHATTER smile.gif
