Holly

Holly is a 2-3 year old Chocolate Staffy cross. She is an endearing girl with a bouncy nature. As you can see Holly loves the beach, her first steps in create a mad 5 minutes, which at the end of a 30ft long line is a bit like swinging around a cannon ball until it burns out of momentum. She would be a good gril off lead once she has settled into her new home.
Holly does love other dogs, and every dog, even if it dosn't like her was a worth while hello for her! She would best suit an older teenagers home that has a quiet environment as Holly does get a bit worried of people she doesn't know. She will be up for loads of excercise but Holly is going to take a while to settle down as she is quite an active girl!

Chuck

Chuck is a very busy little boy and has all the attributes of a champion working Terrier. He is active, he is confident, his legs can barely keep up with him. He will need settling into a new home, but he will make the best little companion for possibly someone on there own or a couple of adults who are barely indoors.

He will need further socialising with other dogs and will not be able to live with cats. This little chap is a stunner and everyone has fallen for him at the centre, true little terrier! expect nothing less!

Sandy

Sandy is a 2-3 year old female Collie cross Labrador. She is a beautiful girl who is so much fun to be around, and once you have gotten to know she does develop an affectionate side!

Image

Sandy has been in kennels a while but there is no reason why there isn't a home out there for her, she loves her walks, she is housetrained, she is great with other dogs and she could be left a few hours a day.

One insecurity Sandy has is how to deal with stress, she can become (what seems) very over excited, when actually Sandy finds it hard to keep control, so she will just hare around like a loon and will be up on everything and she can develop into a bit of a kleptomaniac, which is funny to watch especially as she doesn't destroy her chosen items.

So in a home where people are probably not overly house proud and are willing to give Sandy the space and excercise she needs to settle in. Sandy would be better suited to an older teen or adult home and she could live with a confident calm older dog!

Pepper

Image

Pepper is a gorgeous Black Lab girl, but her very very bad start in life has left her finding home life very hard. Her whole background is unknown to us but due to how terrified she can be about handling and people she doesn't know especially men. Because of her fear Pepper has shown aggressive tendancies in the time we have known her.

Pepper will be looking for a very specific home environment with potentially one adult in the home who gets very few visitors or who will have the facilities to manage this if the situation arose. Pepper loves playing fetch and will chase after a ball or find a hidden toy anywhere. Being a typical Lab she does love her food and is on a a suited diet to make sure she doesn't eat herself to the size of a bungalow.

An experienced home that is willing to put plenty of time and care into settling Pepper in, and one that will understand it will be a very long process in the home. She can't live with cats or come into contact with young children, living with another dog will be dependant on the dog and the environment.

I'm very sorry to sound a bit doom and gloom but honesty is important, and Little Miss Pepper Pig really deserves the right shot in the home and will need a particular environment.

Tito and Sadie

Image

These guys are Mother and son and they are a real fun and entertaining pair that really do love eachother. Sadie is around 6 and Tito is around 2-3. Both are very active and love people, coming up for cuddles is very cute, but these two do have a tendancy to do it in top gear.

They both know a bit of basic training but would both benefit from doing plenty more. Sadie is ok with other dogs but seems to be very unsure about genral interaction. Tito will need socialisation and training with other dogs as he can be very OTT and because he to doesn't know what quite to do he gets quite vocal and goes to fast. When they are together they can both be vocal when they see dogs, but with further training to what we are doing at the centre they will come along fine.

A home where they won't be left for more than a couple of hours and with kids aged around 12 plus would be great. Where they will get plenty of excercise and loads of cuddles!

Barney

PICTURE TO FOLLOW

Barney Grubble is a 4 year old very handsome and very busy Black Cocker Spaniel.

This little guy is very active and keeps his nose and feet very busy whenever possible. Barney is desperate for a caring home that will help him overcome some behavioural difficulties this boy has.

Barney would best suit an active home where it will be one on one, just him and his owner. Barney is very fond of people and food. Barney has got food aggressive tendancies but only if people don't manage the situation properly, if he is fed or given food and left to it or he has his own space to go, there is no problem.

Barney is going to need someone who is going to keep his brain occupied aswell as teaching him how to be calm.
