Didn't know there were adaptil tablets, has anyone used them? Currently got the plug in and have bought a collar. Now Holly has lost an eye and has barely any vision in her remaining eye she just totally panics. Also got to watch her bg levels. Thanks

Haven't used the tablets but have used the spray in the past. I've also moved onto trying the Pet Remedy which is helping a lot with my dogs at the moment.

Be interesting to see if anyone has tried them.

I tried them for my dogs weather and firework reactivity but they didn't help, not the tablets, diffuser or spray. The only thing I have found which helps is melatonin.

Would agree with this - only thing that has ever worked with Sprocket, who is becoming increasingly anxious as his sight deteriorates

It really depends on the weight of your dog. You want the plain melatonin, not dissolve in the mouth, slow release or anything else. Places to start looking are Vitasunn and Biovea. I had to get my last lot on ebay but I am quite wary of doing that. My dogs are quite big and they need a big dose (20 mg per dose) This means I have to get large tablets or capsules because if they are only 1mg or 3 mg then its quite a number to get them to take. Mine get a big dose and can get it frequently if the weather goes on and on. I also give them a precautionary dose every day from just before halloween right through november. As I said this year will be the third year of using it and they have had it just about daily, often 2 or three times a day right through the summer because of the foul weather. The only side effect I have seen is nuclear gas but I have to say it is so worth it.
It doesn't work miracles. Guy Fawkes night is still going to be hell and really bad storms mean they have to go on leads to stop them hurting themselves BUT they do get over the bad stuff more quickly and can cope better with short displays in the distance and short bursts of bad weather

I bought my last batch from America - much, much cheaper than buying in this country, if you're not in a desperate hurry for them. https://gb.pipingrock.com/melatonin

Just don't make the mistake I made - bought too much then had to pay a customs charge before the post office would let me have it lol.gif
