On the 13th August Bonnie stopped to do a poo, I got off the scooter to get the bags out of pocket at the back and dropped them, I didn't see a lady walking her JRT, the dog was nearly up to mine. Mine went YIPPEEEE a dog to play with and I ended on the ground. I can understand this lady being anxious but she stood there letting her dog play with mine, I had to ask her to take her dog away because I was being dragged along the road.

Suddenly there was people everywhere, a man took my dogs, blankets appeared from nowhere and an ambulance appeared. The driver got on my scooter to move it and had some fun driving it up and down the road, everyone wanted a go then.

With the help of gas and air they got me into the ambulance, a lady drove my scooter home and another took my dogs.

No bones broken but the doctors couldn't understand why I was in so much pain so had to stay in. I had a crack in the bone, they are operating on it next Friday. Wish me luck.

How awful, hope you feel better soon. I don't like to see some people using those extending leads either.

They have their place (ie in a field with space around) but not in this situation.

Was gutted a few weeks back to hear that a gorgeous dog that had come to classes had been on a flexi, it got pulled out of the owners hand and she ran into the path of a car and died. She was such a gentle girl that was starting to settle into her home and had recently been in their car which was stolen and the dogs dumped. Amazingly they made their way back to the holiday place they were staying at the time it happened.

Annieskiel I hope the op goes well and you heal quickly. wub.gif

I dislike extending leads too. Louie was bitten by an Akita because it came round a corner well ahead of the owner because of an extending lead.

I am sorry you broke your arm. If you had not been injured it could have been an amusing sight .... you sitting on your bum while you dogs jumped about saying goodie goodie a friend to play with. lol.gif

I hope you make a speedy recovery. Will you have to pay for doggy care? If so the stupid woman should pay.

Ange

Thank you everyone, I am not against extending leads, they do have a use in the right place but the road is not the right place.

The news isn't good, the surgeon came to see me this morning, if I put my weight on my leg the bone can split into two and I will never walk again. They are going to add bone and a metal plate.

I was impressed with my 2 dogs, each time they were given a command they obeyed, people started to talk how good my girls are.

The operation went well, bone was from someone else was put round my leg then a metal plate was put round it. I can't put weight on it for 6 weeks.

My bedding is still in the washing machine, clean bedding not on the bed yet, bedroom or bathroom not cleaned and I am resting in bed. lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif
