Millie 5 years Yorkie was spayed yesterday. so far she is not showing any distress in her tummy wound and I have her in a light cotton baby vest in case she does. In the night i gave her drinks of water and she had a tiny amount of chicken breast this morning. the tail is wagging, i carried her gently out to do a wee to avoid the step down but the concern i have is for a wheeze she has developed a bit like the rattling breath of someone with a lung disease? I understand this can happen due to the anaesthetic or tubing etc but is there anything i can get her which may help this i.e any kind of oils, herbs, food, tonic etc? Her post op is Thursday.

a little honey can be soothing. Personally if she is generally doing ok then I wouldn't worry and definitely not give her other cures tonics and so on.

Glad it went well! The do have a tube down their airway to breathe and that can give them a sore throat. Does she have any pain relief e.g. metacam or loxicom to take at home as it could help her throat too.
