Good home offered for a pup or young GSD, Northern Inuit, Utonagan, British Timber Dog, Wolf a like, CSK dog, Saarloos etc.

I lost my GSD Nanuk to degenerative myelopathy 14 months ago. She was only 9 1/2 years old. Broke my heart.

But.... I feel I am now ready to have another hound in the pack.

I have had three rescue GSD over the years, so I am experienced with the needs of the breed and similar big dogs.

Myself and my partner can offer a cottage with a decent sized garden in a wee village in SW Scotland. Access to an unending variety of rural one track roads, forest roads, forest walks, moors and beaches.

A nice big 4x4 awaits as transport for a dirty, wet dog after long walks.

Home check is absolutely not a problem, I have obviously had them carried out previously for the three females I have rescued over the years.

I am also prepared to travel pretty much anywhere to pick up the right dog.

Female or male. Preferably semi or long coated dogs. Up to perhaps a year or so old.

I am experienced training my dogs and working dogs to respond to whistle, hand and voice commands. I never encourage aggression in a dog. Any dog I have is purely a companion and friend.

If anyone is in the position of having to rehome a dog, or knows of one that fits my requirements, please get in touch. rh_scotland@hotmail.com

I am watching Second Chances, Elite and all the rescues I know of, for a suitable pup/dog. But its easy to miss one when there are so many rescues.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Rightly or wrongly, an Akita cross isn't a dog I would consider. But thanks for letting me know.

I know of 3 GSD crosses on Facebook, they are in Romania in a good rescue and have been in rescue since they were 5 weeks old, now about 18 months old. They have been well looked after but so many dogs they can't get the attention they need but no sign of problems. If you are interested let me have your email address and I will send you pictures of them and who to contact.

Are you still looking? Just came across Suki at Three Counties Rescue in Lincolnshire, long way from you I realise. She is advertised as an Alaskan Malamute, but very clearly isn't anything of the sort, my guess would be a Czechoslovakian Wolf Dog. She's a year old:

http://threecountiesdogrescue.org/project/suki/

They do say that they only rehome within a 50 mile radius of the rescue, but I don't know how likely they would be to compromise on that for the right home. Might be worth a phonecall to find out. smile.gif
