Hello all

Those of you in the Lounge will already know, but we have a new addition. She has been with us three weeks now, and is a 3 year old ex-breeding dog (I think probably puppy farm) from Many Tears.

She was very nervous at first, and still is compared to most dogs - but has made real progress, especially in walking on a lead. From only going out for a few minutes and being terrified when we first got her, she now does the full walk with the 'big dogs' and enjoys it.

She is really tiny (compared to what I've been used to for the last 10-15 years) but very beautiful and sweet. I have to say, though, she's definitely a 'Daddy's girl' rolleyes.gif

Anyway, here are a couple of photos - apologies to those who have already seen them, and sorry I can't figure out how to get them the right size unsure.gif but I think you can click on them to see them better.

wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif gorgeous!

Colleague at work was looking for a cocker, after her's died. I flooded her email with pups and youngsters, all cockers.. sadly they decided on (what I would call) a BYB. The mating was apparently a 'mistake' but this person sold the pups for a lot of money, I have doubts on the 'mistake' mad.gif

Anyhow,, I do hope the dog is going to beok

Your Rosie is gorgeous! Heere's to many happy years sweetheart, you are in the right place now! wub.gif

She's definitely getting braver - paws on OH's lap yesterday and curled up on the sofa today wub.gif

We've also had forays onto the dining room table to check for food rolleyes.gif

Her cheeky side is starting to come out smile.gif

Didn't take her long to get her paws under the table, or on it, for that matter. lol.gif

As some of you know, Rosie had to have an op last week for a hernia, which was a bit unexpected and we thought might set her back a bit. No such problem! rolleyes.gif She has really come out of her shell and is behaving much more as you would expect a cocker to.

A big milestone today - her first walk 'away from home' (ie other than on our land). We went somewhere fairly local so that the journey didn't stress her out too much and so that, should she be too scared, it wouldn't be a massively wasted journey.

We needn't have worried. Came straight out of the car, nose to the ground, tail in the air and she was off lol.gif I could hardly keep up rolleyes.gif

She absolutely loved it, although she's quite tired now wub.gif

We're so happy and relieved smile.gif
