Just made the mistake of checking MT - the two Borzoi lads are just gorgeous!!

You can see a certain trend in the breeds that are popular, scrolling through their pages. Never used to see Frenchies on their site, and DDBs are popping up more regular now sad.gif Heartbreaking really err.gif

They have rather odd faces, I don't know about sinister lol.gif I worked with a youngster for a while, show bred, and she always looked a bit like she'd run into a plate glass window eyes first lol.gif

Intersting (but good) that they arenít often seen in rescue. Rough Collies were very common when I was a child in London, maybe it was the Lassie effect.

I used to have several live near me, the bitches were all neurotic, the dogs lovely steady boys, they were all with families and adored children.

I used to have a Rough Collie/Labrador, spent her first 6 months confined to a house and yard, when we got her at 6 months old she had never had a lead on her. She was completely neurotic but adored children, I had to let her out when my 3 sons, all very young at that time, when she tried to jump out of the bedroom window to join them. It was the first summer we had her and she was still under a year old.

Her life revolved round my sons, where they went she was always with them, when they were old enough to go to the woods she always went with them, we knew they would be safe with Samantha with them. She used to love going down the slide in the children's playground, would play under the moon and over the stars with some of the girls who lived close and would play ring a ring of roses with my sons, she would have a rubber ring in her mouth which one would hold with her and another hold her tail. She always refused to fall down, can't really blame her for that.

I still miss you Sam, you were such a wonderful dog even though you wore a carpet out in 18 months that was guaranteed for 7 years.

I had a sable and white rough collie rescue for 12 years back in the '70's, his name was Sandy Woo but he used to get called Concorde a lot! If you remember that you'll show your age! He was a fantastic dog.

I've just had a peek at the Buhund because one has gone missing recently close to us. I'm no expert, but I'm not 100% sure Odin is a Buhund. His head, especially around the muzzle, seems to be the wrong shape - but then I've never seen a Buhund with shading on the face before, so that could be obscuring my view!
