So I am getting my long awaited Norfolk puppy next month. I cant wait. He is from a great breeder in Wales- just stuck now on a name. I would love any input. Short list is:
Dave
Roger
Dudley
Jones (Welsh connection)
Scrum

Or any other name you would like to suggest. Thanking you.

Hi
Personally I like Dudley but I think you don't always know if the name suits them until you get them. We have always had rescue apart from one puppy and they were all pre named. We did change two of the younger dogs names as they didn't suit their name.

Good luck with your new puppy

I always change a dog's name when they first arrive, it is a new life for my new dog and my promise to them that no matter what they did they will never be moved on again. I can be very determined (stubborn) when it comes to something I really want and that means my dogs will learn to live in harmony with me and my other dogs. Dogs just need to be taught what we want them to do, some pick it up quicker than others but they all do eventually with time and patience.

Having had a Norfolk cross I once tried to get a pure Norfolk terrier pup, but I wanted one that was not docked.

The only breeder I found that did not dock refused to sale to me because my fence wasn't 6 foot high!!!

I think you need some names in mind but make your final decision when you see the pup, I wouldnt go for any Welsh connection, after all its a Norfolk puppy wherever it was born.

Oh, How adorable is he!

15 years too late rolleyes.gif

I settled for a Border terrier instead, who is now at rainbow bridge. angel.gif

Now I have another bundle of mischief and much as I would love that Norfolk terrier too I now unfortunately have to settle for just the one dog.
