Many Tears Rescue is a rescue based in South Wales but we also have dogs in foster throughout the UK. We have many dogs that are waiting to find love. We rescue mainly ex-breeding dogs, but also help with some of the death row dogs from the pounds.

All adult dogs are spayed/neutered, micro chipped, inoculated, wormed and kennel cough vaccinated. All puppies are wormed, micro chipped, inoculated and KC vaccinated. A declaration will be signed at time of adoption requiring a new owner to spay or neuter a puppy.

We are looking for wonderful, responsible, forever homes. That means asking questions and trying to marry up the correct pet with the prospective new owner. We are not judgmental but we have a very large responsibility to make sure we do what's right for our dogs and you. We don't have regimental rules on what homes are suitable but there are times we have to turn a home down. Our dogs are often much traumatized, insecure and sometimes they have also been physically abused. They often need a lot of time spent on them so generally they are not suitable to be left long periods of time.

Many Tears adoption fees
The adoption fee for a dog/puppy is 200. You will find a break down of what this covers under our Adoption Procedures. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

07-12-2016 Donner is a 2 year old female Beagle who has been given to us by her breeder to find a forever home. She is quite a confident girl but needs lots of TLC to help her settle into her new life. She is unsure of her new surroundings at the moment and also a little unsure of people. She gets on well with all dogs and needs a calm, friendly canine companion in her new home to help her get used to the sights and sounds of everyday life and give her some much needed confidence. She will have never lived in a home before and will need help with housetraining and this will be easier if she can follow the example of a resident dog. At the moment Donner doesn't know how to walk on a lead but as she starts to settle we will gently introduce this to her. She will thrive in a quiet home with a patient owner who would like to give her lots of love and patience and help her learn to trust. If you can offer Donner the home that she really deserves then please apply as soon as possible and help her to take the next step into a better life

04-03-17 Fruitie is a 5 year old Puggle who has come to us from a breeder. She is terrified at the moment and will need a very experienced home with at least one other calm dog. Fruitie doesn't walk on lead and will need house training but at the moment she is just too frighten for us to even try and walk her. She is a flight risk so will need a very secure garden and high fencing. We are hoping one of our fosterers will offer her a place in their homes to start her on the first step to her new life but if you are experienced with scared dogs and have the understanding and skills to help Fruitie would love to receive an application for her.

17-03-2017 Chainie is a 3 year old female Beagle who has been given to us by her breeder to find a forever home. She is a lovely but very scared girl who has been a breeding girl all her life. She has known nothing of green fields, wonderful smells and the sunshine. She is much happier in the company of other dogs and she is used to the constant company of other dogs, so will need a canine companion in her new home to help her get used to the sights and sounds of everyday life and give her some much needed confidence. She will have never lived in a home before and will need help with housetraining and this will be easier if she can follow the example of a resident dog. At the moment she is too scared to walk on a lead but as she starts to settle we will gently introduce this to her. She will thrive in a home with a patient owner who would like to give her lots of love and patience to help her become a happy, confident pet. If you can offer Chainie the home that she really deserves then please apply as soon as possible and help her to take the next step into a better life. She has her own passport. She is by donation as our beagles find it harder to get a forever home.

08-05-2017 Cadbury is a 4 year old ex-breeding bichon. She is extremely nervous and fearful of people and needs an experienced home who have had very scared dogs before. Her fear is so great at the moment that we would not home her with chilidre under the age of 16. She did dettled once she was picked up and really is very sweet - she just doesn't understand that our hands are going to be kind to her. She will need time and endless patience but the reward you will get watching her learn to trust and love you will be tremendous. Cadbury will need at least one resident dog in her new home so if you really understand what this little scared mite needs please put in your application form. She is na dog in needs of a very special home.

02-06-2017 Roo is a 6 year old shih tzu cross who was adopted six months ago by a wonderful, kind supporter of Many Tears. Poor Roo's whole world was turned upside down when her loving owner passed away suddenly. Roo was a very scared dog in kennels trying to climb the walls to get away from people, over the last six months she has blossomed in to a dog who enjoys walks and caravan holidays. As would be expected she has reverted to hiding away in the last few days but already has started to venture out and settle on a dog bed and today when I came home from a walk Roo greeted me with a goofy smile and a little dance of joy. Roo is house trained but has regressed since arriving in foster three days ago but I'm sure she'll remember about the garden very soon. Although currently in foster with smaller dogs, Roo would be best homed with bigger dogs or with her friend Teddy who came from the same home but in the right circumstances with an owner experienced with scared dogs we would also consider homing her as an only dog. She will need an owner confident to push her to become braver but quiet enough to give her space and time to digest the changes she has under gone recently for that reason she wouldn't suit a home with young children. Roo walks well on the lead and travels quietly in the car, she is a typical shihtzu and would like to be a total princess!

17-06-2017 If you love beagles you will really love Gail. She is just 2 years old and has come to us from a breeder. As you can see from her face she is scared and worried and not used to being handled but this will improve with time. She is a reallylovely girl with a beautiful face and as we handle her more she starts to relax. She will need a home with another dog or more to help her learn about lead walking and house training. Whoever adopts Gail is going to be so lucky to watch her flourish and learn to trust. Please be the one to help her and put in an application form.

14-07-2017 Air is a 3 year old female Pomeranian who has come to us from a breeder. She is a very pretty and small pom who is very scared but was Ok to be handled. She is very submissive and rolled over in defeat when approached so she needs a home who really understand her fears and have some expereince with dogs like her. Air will need at least one ofther kind dog or a smilar size to help her learn about life in a home and who she can copy to learn about lead walking and house training. She would be best in a home without children or where they are old enough to understand she will need time to want them to stroke and fuss her.

05-08-2017 Mildred is a 6 year old ex breeding westie. She is a sweet little girl who has gone straight into foster with George. Mildred and George could be rehomed together without a resident dog as long as their new owners are experienced and prepared to house train and help with lead walking. If homed separately Mildred will need a confident dog who is not a push over as both her and George are bossy with other dogs but have a mutual respect for each other . If you have the time and patience she will soon learn to love her new life.

16-08-2017 Monday is a 3 year old poodle cross who is about the size of a small spaniel. When Monday arrived in her foster home she was so shut down there was no reaction at all but at the rescue she was marked as "staff only". I couldn't understand why she was but quickly learnt as she gained in confidence (or rather fear) and was SO mixed up. Anyone witnessing her behaviour at first though would have thought she was vicious. We would go in the room and she was "ok" she would lay there looking at us until the moment we went to leave and then we had to move and get out really quickly. The only comparison is like a goose herding my heels but luckily she had to get up and over the puppy pen first before she had my shins/ankles. I really thought that she was chasing me out of the room then it was Alan who said "she doesn't want you to leave! she's terrified of being left, watch.".
Sure enough he got IN the pen with her and was feeding her soft chew sticks, reassuring her that she was safe now, that nothing bad was going to happen to her. He was able to look at her teeth, play her his guitar sing to her and sit in the room. ALL the problems would arise when we got up to leave, she would lunge and try to grab our clothes and pull us back maybe scared that she didn't know the next time we'd be back it was such an odd mixed up version of separation anxiety. She was terrified of our touch yet she didn't want us to leave her, she didn't want us to move too quickly yet she needed us there. This girl is desperate to love and to be loved and desperately wants to trust that we won't hurt her. Monday just loves a facial, she lets us check her ears and her teeth.
Monday has, since being here, had her litter of puppies, trusted us to help her raise them and now it's time for them and her to find homes of their own. If you are looking for a quiet subdued girl then Monday isn't the girl for you, she likes to talk and hold a conversation with you about her day and life in general, she's rather a vocal girl whose tone has certainly changed since being here. She's not in the slightest bit vicious despite on occasions sounding it; her tail is wagging nineteen to dozen. We are working on the lead acceptance/walking but she turns into a whirling dirvish thing. Monday is a project dog but I can promise you she will return MORE than you are prepared to put in.
