What lovely uplifting photos.

It's like watching a little miracle unfold before us, he looks so sad in the original photos but the later ones show just how far he has come.

You must feel very proud of him, such a brave boy.

Fonzi was picked up on the streets in Cyprus by a cat rescue, he was with them for 18 months but they couldn`t get near him in his kennel.
A friend found 2 kittens when visiting Cyprus for a wedding, contacted this rescue and homed the kittens - then offered help to the few dogs that they had and contacted me re Fonzi as I owned and showed White Min Poodles for many years.
Fonzi was flown over to be my foster after many conversations, emails ect
I just couldn`t say NO when I heard how scared and shut down he was and I am proud of Fonzi as he is trying SO hard.

Today my brother visited and Fonzi has taken many treats from him, sniffed his hand before putting distance between them - its the beginings of meeting new people for him and he was Brave today, Fonzi was taking cues from my other dogs also.
My brother is Very taken with Fonzi and upset when I showed him his original photo`s and heard his story, he met many of mine years ago and thinks given time Fonzi will be a lovely dog. I got comments like isn`t he calm, he is watching you and his amazement when we returned from an outing at Fonzi`s excitment at seeing me

Thank You Carol, yes he put his head in Dara`s mouth, no idea why but he likes her lots and she is very patient and kind to him - Fonzi is learning about playing fetch from Dara too, he follows the ball, picks it up but hasn`t quite got bringing it back to me yet.

Fonzi is looking very handsome and so much more relaxed. It is so nice to see pictures of him with your girls and cats too. Lovely to see him blossom you must be so pleased.

Fonzi does NOT like the camera, he will get used to it but it is making getting nice photo`s difficult.

Its Thanks to Helen he has such a lovely fleece coat and another friend made his Posh collar and matching lead.
He also has a lovely grey knitted jumper sent from Scotland for him from another friend.

There are Lovely Folk on DP that do help when they know a dog is in need

I`m not an angel
I just can`t stand by and not help a dog in NEED when I have room and can help it, I just couldn`t live with myself IF I did nothing.
I did have the conversation re importing dogs and our own rescue situation but in my heart I knew I had to help Fonzi and I also had to help a friend when asked to.

Lots of others helped get him here and Thank doG he was seen and rescued as the state of him makes me wonder how long he would have lasted

Fonzi is one lucky dog, many more are not so lucky and there is little or no help for them

For now can we please keep this towards Fonzi`s rehabilitation as honestly re-homing is many months away, Fonzi has only been here 3 weeks so its very early days.
