There are numerous rescues out there and literally hundreds of dogs needing foster homes so people really do need as much information as possible.

I would have thought that people would need more information on both the rescue and the dog to make an informed decision or even to make tentative enquiries.

For instance where is the rescue based, what back up is provided for example are vet bills paid directly to vets, are their specific vets to use, what costs are covered, where is the rescue located, what happens if the placement isnt working and how long will it take to get a dog moved, what support network is in place, what are the adoption/fostering policies.

For the dog itself - is the dog currently in the pound, emergency boarding, rescue kennels, original home? Is the dog entire or neutered, vaccinated, chipped. What level of assessment is already done and by whom. Is there any prior history., health checked. How is the dog with other dogs in and out the home, cats, children, what level of training has the dog, has the dog lived in a home previously, can the dog be left. In this specific case you say "Needs male fosterer for dogs resposabilitys" - why is a male fosterer needed, does the dog need a single male only household? Why is the placement urgent? And of course pictures will always attract attention.

Of course anyone interested could contact directly for any of the above information but if that information is provided initially there is a much higher chance of an individual choosing to foster this specific dog or for this specific rescue.

I am five years old. I need a male handler who can give me kind firm boundaries , I suffer from joint problems and am on a specialist joint diet and medication when required. I can manage walks but not mega long ones.
I will lunge at traffic, steal food from surfaces and my handler, hence the strict handling needed. I will respond if given the right direction with patience
Sometimes I get over excited when other dogs are playing and may nip. Everyone thinks this is down to me not knowing how to interact properly. However, I am a very lovable dog and adore being fussed. I have spent time with a male fosterer on a temporary basis with two older children who were very dog savvy and I was good there after a dodgy start. He had faith in me but due to family commitments is unable to have me long term
Do you think you could give me my forever home or commit to long term foster?
