Many Tears Rescue is a rescue based in South Wales but we also have dogs in foster throughout the UK. We have many dogs that are waiting to find love. We rescue mainly ex-breeding dogs, but also help with some of the death row dogs from the pounds.

All adult dogs are spayed/neutered, micro chipped, inoculated, wormed and kennel cough vaccinated. All puppies are wormed, micro chipped, inoculated and KC vaccinated. A declaration will be signed at time of adoption requiring a new owner to spay or neuter a puppy.

We are looking for wonderful, responsible, forever homes. That means asking questions and trying to marry up the correct pet with the prospective new owner. We are not judgmental but we have a very large responsibility to make sure we do what's right for our dogs and you. We don't have regimental rules on what homes are suitable but there are times we have to turn a home down. Our dogs are often much traumatized, insecure and sometimes they have also been physically abused. They often need a lot of time spent on them so generally they are not suitable to be left long periods of time.

Many Tears adoption fees
The adoption fee for a dog/puppy is 200. You will find a break down of what this covers under our Adoption Procedures. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

03-05-2016 Navy is a five year old ex stud Bichon who has come to us to find a forever home. Navy is a calm little boy who enjoys a cuddle. He is a learner on the lead and will need further help to become more confident. The vet checked Navy's teeth and sadly all of his remaining teeth had to be removed but he is coping well. Navy will need another dog in his new home as he has never have lived in a house before. Navy will not be house trained or used to the sounds of everyday household appliances so another dog will help him enormously. To date Navy has had a hard life and he now needs a wonderful loving home to show him how good life can be.

03-05-2016 Nemo is a four year old ex stud Bichon who has come to us to find his forever home. He is a friendly little dog who is happy to be held and cuddled. Nemo does not yet walk on a lead but we will be working on that whilst he is with us. Nemo has never lived in a house and it will be a strange environment for him so he will therefore need a friendly resident dog to help him settle in and learn about home life. Nemo will need to be house trained and this will also be easier with a resident dog. Nemo is now ready to find his forever home and find out how lovely home life can be.

11-05-16 Naline is a 4 year old female Yorkshire Terrier Cross. She is a very nervous girl who has no ideahow to trust only to fear. She is difficult to catch in her kennel as she is very skittish. She did calm down a little once held and she will need a careful programme and being held, being loved and having time to learn how to trust people for the first time. She also needs a kind dog to reassure her,be her guide and show her about housetraining, love and being a pet.

03-11-2016 Perky is a 6 year old male Bichon who has been given to us by his breeder to find a forever home. He is a very nervous little boy who doesn't yet understand kind human touch and will try to run away from us. At the moment he is not used to being handled but we will spend time to help him get used to human contact. Perky needs an adult only home as he would find children too scary at the moment, with people who are experienced with frightened dogs. He is going to need a lot of time, love and patience to help him get used to living in a home. He will find it very strange and frightening to live in a home so will need a kind resident dog or dogs to help him get used to the sights and sounds of home life. He will not be house trained and will have no idea about walking on a lead. He will need patient owners who will help him to come round in his own time.

07-12-2016 Pocket Rocket (Rocky for short) is a 6 month old Collie cross Huntaway who has very sadly been returned for not getting along with the resident dogs. He has lived in a foster home with other dogs without a problem and sharing his kennel here with others but we would be happy to home him as an only dog or maybe with a larger confident one. He is very happy to meet and greet other dogs outside the home. He would not suit a multi-dog household. Rocky walks very well on a lead and is confident and intelligent dog. He knows basic commands, plays ball and tug. He has lived with children (the youngest 8) and been absolutely fine with them. Rocky travels well in the car and sleeps quietly and cleanly in his crate overnight and is best crated if left. He is super smart and will need an experienced owner who will be committed to spending time training and exercising him. This boy could make a fantastic agility dog, equally he could turn his paw to flyball, obedience or clicker training. He is very food motivated which will help in his training. He needs a owner who can help him reach his full potential - the possibilities are endless!!

07-12-2016 Donner is a 2 year old female Beagle who has been given to us by her breeder to find a forever home. She is quite a confident girl but needs lots of TLC to help her settle into her new life. She is unsure of her new surroundings at the moment and also a little unsure of people. She gets on well with all dogs and needs a calm, friendly canine companion in her new home to help her get used to the sights and sounds of everyday life and give her some much needed confidence. She will have never lived in a home before and will need help with housetraining and this will be easier if she can follow the example of a resident dog. At the moment Donner doesn't know how to walk on a lead but as she starts to settle we will gently introduce this to her. She will thrive in a quiet home with a patient owner who would like to give her lots of love and patience and help her learn to trust. If you can offer Donner the home that she really deserves then please apply as soon as possible and help her to take the next step into a better life

04-03-17 Fruitie is a 5 year old Puggle who has come to us from a breeder. She is terrified at the moment and will need a very experienced home with at least one other calm dog. Fruitie doesn't walk on lead and will need house training but at the moment she is just too frighten for us to even try and walk her. She is a flight risk so will need a very secure garden and high fencing. We are hoping one of our fosterers will offer her a place in their homes to start her on the first step to her new life but if you are experienced with scared dogs and have the understanding and skills to help Fruitie would love to receive an application for her.

17-03-2017 Crouton is a 3 year old female Beagle who has been given to us by her breeder to find a forever home. She is a very sweet dog but has been breeding all her life and not known the life of a pet dog, however she does wag her tail at us and looks at us for attention. She is much happier in the company of other dogs and she is used to the constant company of other dogs, so will need a canine companion in her new home to help her get used to the sights and sounds of everyday life and give her some confidence. She will have never lived in a home before and will need help with housetraining and this will be easier if she can follow the example of a resident dog. At the moment she is too scared to walk on a lead but as she starts to settle we will gently introduce this to her. She will thrive in a home with a patient owner who would like to give her lots of love and patience to help her become a happy, confident pet. If you can offer Crouton the home that she really deserves then please apply as soon as possible and help her to take the next step into a better life. She has her own passport. She is by donation as our beagles find it harder to get a forever home.
