I recently done a homecheck for a lovely couple who want a Chihuahua and gave them a good report to the rescue but the rescue hasn't been in touch with them and they would really love a Chihuahua to be a friend for their present one who is neutered, chipped, vaccinated etc.

Please does any rescue have one that they need rehoming? They are after an adult dog and as they have recently lost one they don't want him/her to be very old.

They rescue both these dogs from a home were they were being abused, the man used to tie them to the radiator and kick hell out of them, their present dog is terrified of walking sticks but they have done a very good job with this dog, I never saw the other one.

Would they consider a cross? I'm not actually 100% convinced it's right, but my brother was told he was a Pomchi when he got him. He's currently in foster with a rescue, he's around 3ish, fine with other dogs (if a little undersocialised with my brother at times), just had some issues with resource guarding when my brother's girlfriend was pregnant so needs an understanding home (rescue said they hadn't seen that behaviour when they took him, though).

They may do, they want a family pet but live in a small bungalow so really need a small dog. Their garden is very secure, I inspected the bottom of the fencing more than the top as it was 6ft high, can't see these dogs getting over that. lol.gif They live at the top of a cul-de-sac and it is very quiet. I will contact them tomorrow and tell them but not sure how far they will travel for a dog, they do go to St Annes regularly to stay with a sister and the dog play on the beach. Both are retired.

I live in walking distance from this couple and can be there quite quickly if there are problems and they have had problem dogs in the past.

They have recently lost a Chihuahua and have another one and they love the breed.

I am going to look at Many Tears but this week and next I have either doctors, district nurses, hospital appointments nearly every day, next week I have to go to the other side of Leeds to a hospital, with my gang and my house to care for I am finding it difficult to look.
