We have just rehomed a 15 month old Staffie and he is chewing everything he can get hold of when left alone even for just an hour, he is climbing on top of tables and the worktop to get at stuff then just chews it all into tiny pieces, what can we do to stop this?

Is he doing it only when left alone? If so, is he crate trained? I had a Labrador who certainly left her mark in my house with chewing. I used a crate when I went out, but always made a point of not leaving her for more than a couple of hours. You could also try stuffing Kongs to keep him busy while you're out.

I'm sure others will be here soon with more advice.
