Wives who have to gone to a refuge for battered women, are now being helped by volunteers to look after their pets. What a good idea.

Women, who were staying with an abusive partner because they were afraid to leave their pets, now no longer have to.

It also provides volunteers with an occasional pet if they cant have a permanent pet.

It's an excellent scheme.Dogs Trust has extended the area the cover for theirs sad it is needed but some women won't leave an abusive relationship because refuges can't/won't take dogs. This lets them escape and keeps the dog/s safe until they can be back together. But like all these schemes they can only help if they have volunteers to take the dogs in

When I helped a lab rescue I had friends who helped another lab rescue and they use to foster labs from the same situation
