OH, no. What an unfortunate thing to happen.

But remember Jamie survived living in Romania. he is made of strong stuff to survive.

I assume the problem will be catching him. Is he likely to go to anybody or will he run off if approached?

Take care of yourself as Jamie will need you when he comes home.

Sorry to hear about Jamie. I am just out of the area but fairly close so will keep my eyes open. Will also contact a farmer friend.

I must be the only person who does not do Facebook so could you post a description of him?

You don't have to use facebook to click the link and have a look. Or look on the missing dog sight we aren't allowed to mention.

Hope there's some news today. Wish I was closer to go searching.

Hi,

I live in the same area and my dogs go to the same dog day care.

I have been out looking today and will be out again tomorrow, I've seen that he's been sighted in Golcar so will drive round there tomorrow as well.

Do you think he could make his way back to Dalton?

Hi,

I live in the same area and my dogs go to the same dog day care.

I have been out loarkoking today and will be out again tomorrow, I've seen that he's been sighted in Golcar so will drive round there tomorrow as well.

Do you think he could make his way back to Dalton?

Mark and Vicky have been wonderful, they have put posters out as well as spending all day looking for him, Mark fell over as he came out of the house and both Jamie and Cyril went, Cyril returned when Mark called but Jamie didn't. We were hoping that he would go to the day care as he loves being their but went to Golcar instead, at least it is the opposite way to the M62.

It is only 5 weeks since I had major surgery on my femur and I am on crutches still, I am not supposed to drive but went out on Thursday to see if he would come to me if he heard my voice. I over did it and had to rest yesterday. I feel so helpless, I just want Jamie back. If the find him I will go out to try and get him to come to me.

Jamie was a street dog when in Romania and was caught by the dog catches so he is terrified of men, he has bonded with both Vicky and Mark which is a good think. He will be back to a street dog and will hide from people. It would be wonderful if he made it back home but will have to go through town to get here. I just hope he doesn't go up onto the moor as he will never be found then.

Accidents happen, I felt sorry for Mark as he is really upset, he couldn't help falling over, it happens to all of us. He has worked a miracle with Jamie, he had to fight to stay alive when in the shelter in Romania and would attack any big dog, he mixes with big dogs now without a problem.

Petmurf, we will have to meet up sometime.

Anniieskel, Could you go along in your car (even with soeone else driving) and park in the area you think he's in, and leave the engine running and a door open? It has been known to work as they know the sound of your car. Also spread a bag of your vacuum waste and take a bottle of your wee to spread around, to lead him to a safe area. You probably know this already.

Are Mark and Vicky taking Cyril with them to search?

Come on home Jamie boy, to where you know you're safe and loved.

Years ago someone lost their 2 dogs in the forest, they drove along, as doggroomer suggests, and peeped the horn constantly. Dogs were found. Good luck, hope today brings good news.

I did that on Thursday Chris, he also knows the vehicles belonging to the doggie day care as he has been going in them every day for over 6 weeks. He has a strong bond with both Mark and Vicky, he loves to lie on his back in Vicky's arms and purrs like a cat.
