Bertie - lurcher boy 5 1/2 months old being fostered in a family home in Somerset with two dogs, two cats and a 8 year old child.

This lovely baby boy was found as a stray in Spain and kept safe by the Charity we support and work with out there. We think he is crossed with a Galgo (Spanish Greyhound) and a Catalan so will probably make Lab size.

We will update his profile as he progresses but he is doing so well for baby, he is very in different to the cats and does not take much notice although we would not recommend to go with a nervous cat, he was quite insecure when he first arrived but is now coping being left for up to 4 hours. He is completely house trained, fine with other dogs although his can sometimes get a bit over the top with play but will listen if he is told off by the other dogs. He is off the lead and comes back to treats as so food focused. He also walks on the lead well and travels find in the car.

In Spain he lived with a group of dogs he loves playing with other dogs so would be nice if he could be homed with another dog, he will be an active boy and would benefit from an experienced home who will continue with his training and building his confidence.

Bertie is fully vaccinated, chipped and has his own Pet Passport.

If you think you could be the right home for our lovely boy please email us for our questionnaire starfishdogrescue@hotmail.co.uk
