10-08-2017 Pesto is a sweet and placid 8 week old puppy who has arrived here with his mum and siblings. His mum is Poppy a yorkie but we have no idea what his dad was as all these pups are bigger than an average yorkie pup at this age. Pesto is the bravest of this letting but wlll still need further socialisation as he has not been handled much. He likes to cuddle up to his siblings for so will be best with a resident dog who will allow him to snuggle up and learn things from. Pesto must attend puppy training classes and be neutered at 6 months old.

11-08-2017 Daisy previously Mysty is a 6 year old St Bernard who has reluctantly been returned to her foster home as she and the resident cats just couldn't work out their differences. The adopters are very sad about returning her as she really is a cuddle monster and is such a fabulous dog in the home. Daisy would love to be an only dog and would be someone's special girl but does need to be socialised with other dogs. She has settled back into her foster home living with two large dogs who she was introduced to carefully and if homed with others it will need to be with experienced owners who understand how to introduce her. Her fosterer will be happy to advise and discuss this. She can walk well on a lead but has a tenancy to lunge towards some other dogs (not all) and this continues to be a work in process, so anyone applying needs to be aware of this as she can take you by surprise and is very strong.

09-08-2017 Meggy Moo is a 6 year old ex-breeding lab. She is a really lively girl - very bouncy and happy but a little cautious of new people. However we think this will soon change as she is quite cofident and she may have lived in a home at some point but that is just a guess . Meggy pulls quite strongly on a lead so will need further training to improve this and will need another dog to live with to help her learn about house training should she need it.

14-08-2017 Pricey is a 4 year old collie. He is timid and shy but you can tell he wants to be inquisitive but can't manage to bring himself out of his shell just yet. He is noise reactive which means any loud or strange noises make him very nervous so we are looking for a quiet and calm home for Pricey without children but with active people who enjoy long walks. As a collie Pricey will need plenty of exercise and in a collie savvy home where people understand his needs and are prepared to help him overcome them he will flourish. Pricey would be best in a home with at least one other dog to be his friend and help him overcome his fears. This will also help him to learn about lead walking and house training.

16-08-2017 Jump is nearly 7 weeks old and a female Jack Russel cross. She is one of 5 puppies who are lucky to be here. Her mum Jolly was due to be put to sleep because she needed a c-section as she was not able to have her babies naturally. The owner would not pay for the operation so the vets took her over and she had 5 beautiful tiny puppies and they asked us to take this little family and find them homes. Jolly is wonderful and looking after her babies so well. Jump is tiny and sweet and will not be ready for her new home until is she is 8 weeks old but you can apply for her now. She must be taken to puppy training classes and be spayed at 6 months old.

16-08-2017 Sissy is a very sweet little JRT pup who was left at a gypsy site when they moved on.
She walks well on a lead and gets on well with other dogs in her kennel so could be homed with others or can be an only dog in the right circumstances. Sissy is an alert and happy girl who will thrive in a loving home where she gets the exercise she needs. She may need help with house training and would really benefit from attending puppy training classes.

16-08-2017 Monday is a 3 year old poodle cross who is about the size of a small spaniel. When Monday arrived in her foster home she was so shut down there was no reaction at all but at the rescue she was marked as "staff only". I couldn't understand why she was but quickly learnt as she gained in confidence (or rather fear) and was SO mixed up. Anyone witnessing her behaviour at first though would have thought she was vicious. We would go in the room and she was "ok" she would lay there looking at us until the moment we went to leave and then we had to move and get out really quickly. The only comparison is like a goose herding my heels but luckily she had to get up and over the puppy pen first before she had my shins/ankles. I really thought that she was chasing me out of the room then it was Alan who said "she doesn't want you to leave! she's terrified of being left, watch.".
Sure enough he got IN the pen with her and was feeding her soft chew sticks, reassuring her that she was safe now, that nothing bad was going to happen to her. He was able to look at her teeth, play her his guitar sing to her and sit in the room. ALL the problems would arise when we got up to leave, she would lunge and try to grab our clothes and pull us back maybe scared that she didn't know the next time we'd be back it was such an odd mixed up version of separation anxiety. She was terrified of our touch yet she didn't want us to leave her, she didn't want us to move too quickly yet she needed us there. This girl is desperate to love and to be loved and desperately wants to trust that we won't hurt her. Monday just loves a facial, she lets us check her ears and her teeth.
Monday has, since being here, had her litter of puppies, trusted us to help her raise them and now it's time for them and her to find homes of their own. If you are looking for a quiet subdued girl then Monday isn't the girl for you, she likes to talk and hold a conversation with you about her day and life in general, she's rather a vocal girl whose tone has certainly changed since being here. She's not in the slightest bit vicious despite on occasions sounding it; her tail is wagging nineteen to dozen. We are working on the lead acceptance/walking but she turns into a whirling dirvish thing. Monday is a project dog but I can promise you she will return MORE than you are prepared to put in.

16-08-2017 Mystic is a beautiful 7 week old cross breed puppy, her mum is Monday but we don't know who dad was. These pups are NOT non moulting hypoallergenic dogs and we are unsure of what their adult size will be but mum is the size of a small spaniel. They were born in a home environment so are used to cats, various dogs from a cavalier to labradors, different people and all household noises.
Mystic is a confident, playful girl who just wants to see what the world has to offer, she's into everything and anything and moves at the speed of light, not for the faint hearted! She will thrive in a busy home and she would not like to be left for any long length of time on her own as she's not used to this. She currently uses puppy pads to toilet on but has started going in the garden.
Mystic needs to attend puppy training classes and be spayed at the age of 6 months.

13-08-2017 Fanta is a 13 week old female collie pup. She is beautiful, intelligent and glamorous. She was the last of her litter and unsold and was left in a shed on her own. Luckily her owner was persuaded to give her up so she could enjoy life as a puppy should. She is bright little girl and we think she would love to do something like agilty or flyball as she is incredibly active and always looking for something to do. She needs a collie experienced home. Fanta must attend puppy training classes and be spayed at 6 months old.

26 Special Lives Saved Because We All Care
Toby is one of 26 wonderful dogs who were living in Southern Ireland. A lady had saved them and had them living at her sanctuary. She neither had the facilities or energy to give them more and sadly when she died she left them to her son to care for. Her one request was that none were put to sleep. Many Tears had them passported and Sylvia drove to collect them (two more still remain as the son felt they were too old to travel). The dogs were living in deep mud and muck, they had little shelter and very little human company but clearly had been loved at some point. Some are old, some are young, untrained and over excited, some scared and many badly matted and filthy. It is a privilege to help them and we hope you will feel this way too.

13-08-2017 Toby is a 2 year old male Terrier cross. He is a little darling who has come to us in need of a a wonderful new life. He already walks on a lead but may need house training as he has been living in outside in mud and muck. Despite this he is a sweet chap who would be happy to share his new home with another dog as this is what he is used to. House in the right cirumstances we would consider homing him as an only dog with experienced owners who understand it may take him a while to settle into life without a canine friend. Toby has a passport.

13-08-2017 Hugh is a lovely chunky pup 2 month old cross breed pup. He was not sold and was going to be taken to the pound but we managed to get him before that happened. He is a lovely big pup who is just going to make a lovely friend for someone. Hugh will need to learn about lead walking and house training and he must be neutered at 6 months old and taken to puppy training classes.

15-08-2017 UPDATE
Just a quick update about this handsome clever boy. He has come from a home and is confused why he is here in kennels. This is the first time I have met Hugh properly and I didnt now anything about him so I put a harness on him and took him out for a walk. He walks beautifully and I grabbed a few puppy treats and thought I may teach this little dude to sit and guess what he was amazing within seconds! if your looking for a beautiful companion for yourself please consider him. Hugh can go with another dog or go as an only dog and can go with children as long as they are dog savvy. Please take a look at this handdsome boy
