I have friends looking to adopt a cavalier. They've just lost their wee girl to a sudden illness and are a bit lost without her!

They are a perfect home and want a bit of a challenge; Pip was an ex-puppy farm breeding bitch so very scared of everything when she arrived, and she absolutely blossomed under their care.

That said, they also don't want one with major health problems or too old as losing her is still very raw and they just can't cope with any more of that right now. They don't mind older but not ancient and about to drop!

They are just outside of Scunthorpe but are happy to travel for the right dog.

That dog must be good and gentle with other dogs - they have a 10yr old cocker who has joint pain and can be very grumpy with other dogs because of it, if they are overly keen or try to play with her. But she's fine if the other dog is laid back and gives her space.

Many Tears have a few in at the moment, if they are willing to travel that far....
