I've recently started a group on FaceBook listing Border Terriers and crosses in UK rescues and pounds partly as a result of more coming into rescue sadly but also a growing number of people wanting to rehome yay.gif We had our first successful rehome hours after the group started biggrin.gif and 1 more reserved.I'm finding it very difficult to track them down though so if any DPers spot a BT or cross in need can they message me please? I am using the rescues listed here although many of the links are broken sadly.
It is simply a list of dogs needing homes, not a recommendation of a rescue and/or pound and no private rehomings.

HAWT have an older BT x - bigger than a border would be & they don't generally rehome outside the area so you'll have to check with them whether they'd want him listing. They are a very well established & reputable rescue.

No problem, with him being a bit older you never know - they have put the odd one or two dogs on Oldies Club in the past.

There is also a younger "terrier" called Alfie at Jerry Green, Gilberdyke. I'm not really sure whether he has any border in there or not to be honest. Although it's hard to make out from avatar size he looks slightly like the dog on the right of your avatar to me. Might be worth a look if you've not already seen him

I am fostering a border terrier and a border terrier/jrt cross at the moment. They are fostered on behalf of Angels Animal Rescue.

There is Gyp who has been waiting for a home for some time, he is on https://www.facebook.com/groups/blackpoolandfyldedogrescue/

You will need to scroll down a little way, there is only 3 posts above him and there is a photo, this is what it says:

Gyp is an 18 month old Border X Patterdale looking for a new home. She is fully house trained, up to date with her vaccinations and has been spayed. She is described by her owner as good with people and children (currently lives with a 6 year old). She isn't too fond on other dogs and can bark and growl at them when out walking so she would need to be the only dog in the house. Gyp loves walks and is very good off her lead. Gyp, like lots of terrier types, can be quite vocal and will bark at noises when at home. Gyp is looking for someone who can give her lots of attention and enjoys long walks. She is energetic and eager to have fun. She would make somebody the ideal country companion. If interested, please contact North West Action for Animals. She will be subject to a home check prior to moving in with her new family.

Dogs Blog website :http://www.commercial site - please refer to moderator/category/border-terrier/ is useful for searching for rescue dogs by breed. There seem to be a few on there but its not always clear how old the post is and whether the dog has been rehomed. However Alfie: http://www.commercial site - please refer to moderator/alfie-222/ has been updated May 2014.

....yes just found him at Pro dogs direct he's still available: http://www.prodogsdirect.org.uk/#/alfie/4583416617

Oh and Archie at South East Dog Rescue: http://www.sedogrescue.co.uk/archie-2/

And I think it looks like George is still available : http://www.commercial site - please refer to moderator/george-90/

Also Bob at Dogs Trust: http://www.dogstrust.org.uk/rehoming/dog/1...ob#.U4b-yyhkXGY

And Tinker : http://rescueremedies.-Refer to moderator-/about9937.html at Rescue Remedies

Sorry if I've repeated some already listed above.
