Rosie is a seven year old female collie.
Rosie is one of the sweetest, most adorable dogs you can meet. However, her main problem is that she will love her owner ‘too much’ and in a misguided sense of loyalty will protect him/her from anything or anyone. Rosie can meet new people fairly easily (if you walk her) and loves anyone who spends time with her. If she likes you she will act like a baby, falling all over you and licking you all over. However Rosie does work on a hierarchy system and if there is more than one person with her she will choose the person she likes most and will guard them from the other person. Rosie is quite stressed in the kennel environment and as a reaction to this will take her frustrations out by focusing on joggers, other dogs, bikes etc. Kennel staff have a behavioural plan for Rosie, to help her overcome her problems, there will be an update on her progress soon. Any potential new owner will be asked to spend time getting to know Rosie and show commitment to her. She is such a sweet dog who really deserves the chance of a loving home. If you think you can help Rosie then please contact us for more details. You will have a special friend! An adult only home is needed for Rosie, with preferably some Collie experience. Rosie needs somebody who lives alone and who has the time and patience to help her. Also a sensible owner who will lock Rosie in a separate room from any visitors. http://www.freshfieldsrescue.org.uk/animals/detail/rosie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9d2eThyM00...player_embedded Attached thumbnail(s) ![]() |
